2010 vs 2011 vs 2012 Recruiting Map

I thought it would be interesting to map out the past 3 years in recruiting from a geographical point of view to view some different trends.  I'll leave the analysis up to you guys, but its pretty interesting.

Thanks for this. This is more of what I was interested in seeing when I saw your other post. It will be very interesting to see how the 2012 develops as the recruiting process proceeds.

Who did we sign from North Carolina this year and isn't Posada the only Florida guy we got? Or am I misinterpreting the green dots?

Anyway, 'There Will Be Blood' references should get +1 everytime.

....based on the data I got

Prince Holloway
Tony Posada
James Wilder Jr.

are listed as being from Florida, and I have a DJ Humphries being listed from NC.  If these are wrong please let me know I am not that familiar with this data, and I automated some of the processes so far.  Basically I am QA/QC'ing as I go.

Thanks for linking my site, Rescue_Dawn.

Holloway didn't sign anywhere.  Posada signed with Michigan.  Wilder signed with Florida State.

Humphries is a Class of 2012 kid, and he is from North Carolina.  But he hasn't committed anywhere.

These are interesting maps.  Thanks for creating them.

This year is projected to be huge for the midwest in general and OH in particular, so I would expect to see more midwest offers this year.  That doesn't, though, mean that it isn't important to continue to recruit the south, mainly FL, GA, and TX.  If Hoke and staff could turn some of their CA connections into a few CA recruits, it would be extremely helpful, too.

Now that the January fiasco is over, I just want the rest of the transition to be as smooth and painless as possible.
