2010 Season Student Football Shirt
Didn't see this anywhere else on the site, even though apparently it's half a week old.

My initial thought was Donovan Warren. Maybe they made plans for the shirt before they knew he was leaving

I was about to suggest the same. It looks like Woodson in the '98 Rose Bowl, when he did wear a darkened visor.

Much better than last year.
...but that makes it perfect for this era.
Not a fan at all, there's no need for that adidas logo, whatsoever.
EDIT: At least it's Maize though, so I'd probably buy it. I just don't like the font on the schedule, and the front is just too busy.

If we were still a Nike school, there'd be a swoosh on it (and probably in a more prominent location). There's no way our apparel company wouldn't put its logo on it. I give Adidas credit for putting it in a pretty discrete location.
I think its definitely the best in a while, its a shirt I could see myself wearing for more than game days, as it has more than just some saying on it.

Plus, why have a player who isn't on the roster at the time that this shirt was designed? It makes much more sense that it is/was a current (at design time) player, i.e. Donovan Warren.
On top of that, look at the nostrils and the chin strap. Braylon's nose doesn't look like that and I don't remember him ever wearing that chin strap. I could be wrong though.
Anyway, I like the shirt a lot.
I actually don't think they'd design it after a current player, even if it's kind of vague. The NCAA could potentially complain.
The NCAA will definitely complain, especially with the lawsuit the NCAA is involved with EA sports using vague references to current players in the NCAA football series.

I could be wrong, but I think that's the only option. I don't think Michigan could sell a shirt featuring the likeness of a current player.

My mom took it on Spring Break a few years ago
I went back and looked, and the video (on another blog) had this same pic, with someone else's face transposed on it. Absolutely certain.

Does the shirt color match the helmet color? I think not. I hope the shirt isn't that color because it's too dark and isn't maize.

I hate the whole "we are" thing that everyone seems to do after that "We Are Marshall" movie came out. We need something more original.

Penn State does that whole "We Are Penn State" cheer, too. Its over-done.
But, while Penn State gets credit for starting it (or at least making it big) every other school is adopting the, "(Insert your team's color here) Out", too. What goes around, comes around.

Seems very...busy...in an acid-washed kind of way. Sears and all that.
Like the player/helmet...don't really need the schedule on the back (especially with different fonts/boldness per game).
How about helmet/player (Woodson, Warren, Braylon, whichever Bad-Ass) with blacked out visor on the front and all the catch-phrases on the back, a 2010 somewhere so they can remarket a new one next year...but don't really need the UMass/BGSU/etc schedule week by week.

more than 2 fonts is a big no no, so the back makes me want to beat small animals to death.
However, I love the front, and it is a vast improvement from last years. Please let it be the proper maize, and not neon yellow

in this case the major plurality of typefaces reinforces the WE aspect.

But, is "All In" permanent? I guess I assumed that it would be a one year thing. Specifically seeing as how we were 'all in' this year, but then lost everything. If the metaphor holds, can one go all in twice?

I don't think it's a matter of "going all in" on separate occasions but rather a reinforcement of our commitment to and support of this team.
I love the "all in" metaphor and am happy it's still being used.

i know this seems blasphemous, but i was never a big fan of the "all in" thing. i just never understood the need to have a slogan, and this one seems particularly tacky. as for next year's shirt; i think one of the best qualities of our uniforms is simplicity, and i think our shirts should mirror that quality.

My favorite was the 2007, where the 20 and the 07 were split around the M logo, making it look like Henne and Hart's #'s.

Anyone can buy the student shirt. It'll be available through MGoBlueShop and possibly the M-Den.

When mgoblueshop.com took over, they took exclusive rights to sell the student shirt online and at their stadium stands, so M-Den got screwed out of being able to sell it. Not sure if it's still that way, but that's how it went down last year.
