2010 Michigan vs. Illinois on BTN

Yes, I know most of you don't want to see this defensive performance, but it's fun seeing Michigan's offense in this game. Roundtree set single game recieving yards record.

But talk about a game that symbolizes RR's tenure...I think this is one of the most embarrassing games I remember...from the lack of defense, the final score, and how we paraded around like we just won the Rose Bowl even though it was only a won against Zook and Illinois and a bowl eligible one....

I want to forget that this ever happened. Things like this were just a tease. They were not the norm against worthy competition. They were flukes. Fun flukes, but only flukes.

That game may have taken a few years off my life, but I love that game.

Maybe it's because I was at the 2000 Northwestern game and find it soothing to finally see us get the long end of the stick in a once-per-decade shootout.

Eh, we won.  I'll watch any game we won and enjoy it.  I don't see many people complaining about the Sugar Bowl or watching replays of that even though the team looked just as bad in that game (although that was a much better apponent).

true in certain aspects. we could not stop va tech to save our own lives (remember all those 3rd and long, and the couple 4th down conversions?) except in the red zone, where we just completely stuffed them. Va Tech played a great all-around defensive game. like you said, they just made bonehead special teams errors that cost them the game. Michigan played great defense when it needed to, and was emblematic of the bend don't break philosophy.

I was on my honeymoon in Bora Bora for this game. I bought stupidly expensive internet access from the Hilton just to watch the ESPN GameCast slowly change numbers. My wife was okay with this. The marriage is still going well, thank you for asking.

While the defensive performance was awful, that last play gives me chills every time I watch it. I was just so happy to be bowl eligible and it's awesome to see the sideline go crazy once Scheelhaase gets tackled.
