2010 Liscenced "Team" Calandars

Submitted by aenima0311 on
As I was doing some shopping today, I came across a 2010 Michigan Football wall calendar. When I flipped through it to see who was in it, I was mildly amused at the Michigan "Star" players featured on it. Of course guys like Brandon Harrison, Morgan Trent and Tim Jamison were featured on given months, but so were such luminaries as CB Doug Dutch, Placekickers Jason Gingell AND KC Lopata, and Long Snapping hero Sean Griffin. It made me laugh, but it was also kind of sad in a way. http://www.turnerlicensing.com/images/JFTitem/altview/large/8010491_01_… Images if anyone cares, because you have to have pics for something to have happened.

I have been using the 'old program' calendars for the past few years. They feature different covers of programs from the 20s - 50s. Check one out if you ever get the chance

My dad bought the 2009 edition of this (actually, he has the version of this that plays "The Victors" if you press a button), and yeah, the choices of players were kind of weird. And also outdated.

They always put in graduating seniors from the year before the calendar was printed (which makes it two years before the calendar is actually used). So in 2010 you get 12 months of 2008 seniors. I'm not a fan of this practice. I'd rather they just put some all-time greats on there instead of trying to be "current".
