That's interesting to hear.. especially with the talk of Ryan, Mehrer, Parker, and Knight all considering Michigan right now. Maybe we won't end up with any but Parker or Knight.. This will be fun to watch.

if we get parker, as he is the only recruit left that has a good chance of commiting, then it would be smart to save a scholarship for next year, since it already looks like a small class for 2011.

What are you talking about it looks like a small class for next year? It's going to be another full class of 25. How could you possibly make the prediction this early in the recruiting process for the 2011 class that we're not going to be getting a full class of 25 and more so, what does this year's class have to do with it? You do realize, right, that we have so few scholarship players on the team that even if were allowed to sign a class of 35 next year, we still wouldn't have all of our scholarships filled?

You couldn't be wronger. Next year's class (barring any attrition which admittedly is likely to happen) is scheduled to be about 14. That will obviously go up, but probably not to 25. And even if it were legal, 35 is WAAAAAY out of the question.

Well, now that it's official, I guess we better prepare for the inevitable influx of Alabama morons who are going to call Brian a hypocrite the moment they see this. Have we ever figured out the best way of pointing out that they still don't understand what that article was about?

At which point we can tell the Alabama morons that, there is a big diff between lightly encouraging a player to decommit BEFORE NSD and you know, like actually cutting the player a couple years into the program. I know, I know, they won't understand that either.
