Williams is worse.

is worse than the guy from last year.

Have you seen Syracuse's defense this year?
October 31st, 2009 at 6:29 PM ^
we can't even bench him.

much worse
I don't think a lot of the defense's struggles can be blamed on staff today. The calls weren't dramatically better in the second quarter. The players just made the right reads and plays then and failed (check, extreme failed) the rest of the game.
Only Michigan can make Juice look like Tebow.

And also make Tebow look like Juice.
October 31st, 2009 at 7:25 PM ^
can Williams crash down on the running back, leaving Juice free around the corner? It would seem that sooner or later, he'd just start leveling Juice...

OH good we have a new scapegoat. Michigan not Williams got their ass kicked in the 2nd half. Get over it.

Nobody is using Williams as a scapegoat. I didn't see anyone blame the loss on him.
But Williams sucked in the Illinois game. He was single-handedly responsible for Juice's TD run and missed several other reads, too.

the other 10 defenders were on the sideline?
November 1st, 2009 at 10:34 PM ^
The other ten defenders followed their responsibilities (sorta kinda sometimes) at least on that play. Williams did not.
November 1st, 2009 at 11:45 PM ^
Are you really going to blame that on all 11 defenders? I don't live in a world where every player on the team is responsible for one missed assignment. The backside corner can't be blamed for a zone read option run by the QB.
When the burger-maker at McDonald's forgets to put cheese on your burger, do you blame the cashier and the guy running the fryer and the guy cleaning the bathrooms?

Whatever. I don't feel like getting into one of your strawman arguements. Hopefully you never had Williams in your avatar or it might get personal.
November 1st, 2009 at 11:57 PM ^
It's not a straw man. Each person has a responsibility on the football field. When people don't fulfill their responsibilities, they're to blame for not doing what they're supposed to.
Apparently when you're in the process of losing an argument, you just toss out lame, incorrect attacks (that's a straw man!) and then make vague personal attacks (Cissoko was your avatar and now you say you don't like him) while completely ignoring the issue at hand.
Speaking of straw man fallacies...

Alchohol didn't help the vomiting I'm guessing?
