When I read it I assumed they were fighting somebody else, but they were fighting each other. That's awesome.

Also funny, the tweet right before the breaking news about the fight was that Tom Izzo got some sort of humanitarian award. Sweet.

Probably not a huge deal unless one of the players seriously hurt the other...as much as I love Sparty tears, I am pretty sure players on most teams in America have gotten into a pushing match/tiff with a team member in their career

looks like a non-event.  Anyway, I want Penn State to beat them at full strength so hopefully no suspensions.

I could give a damn if PSU beats a troupe of four-year-old girls wearing Spartan uniforms over tutus so long as they win.  If you're worried about Sparty excuses, they'll have them regardless of what happens.

I know I'll be a huge PSU, Nebraska, Northwestern and Iowa fan, especially against IU, Illinois, MSU, OSU, Minnesota and apparently Wisconsin. That goes doubly true when the former teams are on the road.

The more losses at the top of the conference, the bigger the window for M to win it, and if MSU trotting out "a troupe of four-year-old girls wearing Spartan uniforms" helps, so be it.

We need to hope that Wisconsin can come back down to life a little bit here after the huge win last night. As they were not a team that I had previously expected to be someone to worry about at the end of the season. Meaning, they may knock a team or two off, like last night. Not a team that we had to worry about tying for or competing for the championship out right against, considering we only play them once and on the road.

Don't waste your time, here's a summary:

Blue wall....rabble....rabble.....awesome that team's fired up.....rabble....blue wall.....

This concept they have formed of a "blue wall" is idiotic to me, since the Freep did everything in its power to take down Michigan for stretching a bit much.  Why they seem to think we get the favorable coverage is incomprehensible to me.

Their upcoming schedule is Ohio State, @Wisconsin and @Indiana. So if there is going to be any discipline, it will surely happen tonight. Perhaps Izzo will drop the hammer and force them each to ride the bench until the first TV timeout.

NBCSports is on this - (LINK)

Supposedly, it happened on the second floor rotunda of the hotel, it did get physical and one player was shoved into a wall. The police were called but the article says no arrests were made nor charges filed as of this afternoon anyway. It mentions there were minor cuts sustained by both players but they did not seek attention. No names yet either.

EDIT:

But this does not deserve a suspension for either player unless someone else was hurt or involved. It was between two players, this kind of thing happens in practice all the time and nobody says a word because it doesn't matter.

Statement from Tom Izzo on Adreian Payne and Branden Dawson

"A scuffle that began as two players needling each other resulted in a dented wall. We'll deal with this appropriately, and the players will willingly accept responsibility for paying for any property damage. I've spent my entire afternoon meeting with the players involved and they are both sincerely remorseful. What makes matters even more confusing is that they are off-campus roommates. As a result of their actions neither one will start tonight's game."

I don't think it is, or should be, a big deal. But i respect the fact that others (you among them) may think othwerwise. I don't understand, though, being ok with a tussle at home vs on the road. It should be a consistent standard. If in-fighting is a huge deal the location shouldn't matter (i concede there are a few exceptions but a hotel room is not among them). If you aren't ok with them fighting on the road then you shouldn't be ok with them fighting at home.

Your right, maybe I just explained myself wrong! I know my kids act very different at home than they do when they are at their friends house. Very well behaved away from home but bad ass kids at home ha. I just think its much harder to bury this when your away from home, so its harder to throw under the rug, I guess. I know its MSU but they should try and compose themselves for the image of the school. IMO
