Submitted by goblue16 on

In honor of rivalry week ill be uploading a Michigan-OSU game each day. After Tom Brady made Peyton his bitch again yesterday what better way to start than with this game. It wasnt the best game of the season but it shows that you can never underestimate the opponent in this series. Enjoy and BEAT OHIO!!!!

Edit: If someone could embed or teach me how to embed that would be great

This is not 2008-2010.  This is the an epic talent mismatch seen in those years.  This Michgian defense is in the Top 20 nationally.  There is top level talent on this Michigan team.  Ohio has a lot of athleticism on defense but their defense has been vulnerable this season.  It is unlikely that Michigan will win this game, but it is also unlikely that this game will be completely one sided.  I don't see this game as being a blowout.  This is literally Michigan's season.  Ohio believes this to be a mismatch.  Quite franly, Ohio is probably looking toward Indi already.  It is my expectation that Michigan will give Ohio a pretty strong run this year.

Top 20 defenses can get gassed if when your offense is going three and out repeatedly. Our offense has to stay on the field and move the chains to give the defense a breather. OSU can score quickly and that's not good for us. If we want to keep it close and win our offense has to give the defense a chance. If they don't -- the game will get out of hand quickly.

Urban Meyer is a shark -- and it's not a bad thing to be one. It's a rivalry game and he needs style points. If he smells blood, it'll be a long day for us .

he really doesn't need style points.  There are two ways Ohio gets to the MNC game if they win out. 1) Florida beats FSU, 2) Winston gets charged.  If 1 happens then OSU is in, if 2 happens my guess is that the human voting element of the BCS has enough pull that Ohio will jump FSU due to OSU enough number 2 votes in the Coaches poll regardless of "how" they win.  (I do think that would happen).  I don't think he can beat Michigan or Michigan State bad enough to jump FSU if Winston continues to play and FSU does not lose.  Not that he needs a reason to kick the shit out of us by a ludicrous margin, just sayin that I don't think style points are an issue.

This reminded me that this was also my last Ohio game in person.  Hey, I went to '91 and '99 and I'm 2-0 in person.  I must be a lucky charm.  Any one want to guarantee a victory by donating tickets?  In the unlikely event they lose while I'm in attendance, I'll gladly send the tickets back.

Watch any of the highlights from 85 - 2000 on Youtube.  Those offenses had conhesion; formations, motion, shifts, execution, QB progression.  We can get back to that efficiency.  Let's make it happen.
