17-17 UM v. Wisconsin Tie! Sore Loser Edition
Dear University of Michigan Athletic Department.
You have embarrassed ME for the last time. I'm tired of being disappointed by the efforts of countless coaches and 18-22 year olds of which i have contributed nothing. My ego and hurt butt will not abide another infliction to my tertiary hobby of spectating amateur sports.
Blame the refs portion of my bitterness: Clear block in the back on the first Wisconsin touchdown, clear touchdown by DPJ. In the end, however, Wisconsin wore our defense down and knocked our offensive weapons off center. (Gentry could have come down with a couple of those catches, but again, see the snarky paragraph above).
We are likely to go 8-4 for this season. I'm sad about it - but we are rebuilding. Anyone who questions Harbaugh is, and I know I'm being preemptive with comments, an impatient idiot.
Couple of questions for the board:
Is it wrong to yell at the TV for DPJ to run forward on punt returns. He does more dancing than MC Hammer on “Cant touch this?”
Gentry dropped some passes. Can’t we put Bunting in the game?
Why wasn’t Perry target more?
Clean hit on Peters, but why was he savaged 3 times before the knock out? Even if our line is terrible and collapses, at least we can get a lineman to slow the collision right?
Lastly, This loss hurts. We had them in a good corner up three in the third quarter. I see UM turning a corner soon, but the loss hurts none-the less. Go Blue!!
Impede Trolls! Go Blue! Impede Trolls! Stop Butt Hurt! Recognize 2017 as a rebuilding year! Go Blue! Support your team! This isn’t about you! This is a hobby for us! Love you guys! Go Blue! I had too much wine during the game! Go Blue!

Yep, this thread was absolutely needed.

Michigan should move to the west division where we can go undefeated every year and stay fresh. Wisconsin is a joke and will get KO'd by OSU.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:00 PM ^
DPJ didn’t score that TD.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:01 PM ^
Given your distance from the field I don't think you had a good angle.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:19 PM ^
He was both far away and right there
November 18th, 2017 at 4:46 PM ^
Official review guy should be fired. Pass interference Guy is corrupt. I don’t see how a competent unbiased person can make either call.
They punt and Peters is still healthy driving down midfield. Fuck the refs.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:03 PM ^
It was a TD, but I'm not surprised that it didn't get overturned... Not because the refs are out to screw us, but because it was just simply that close. It wouldn't have gotten overturned either way.
November 18th, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
When you can go frame by frame, and show a frame with one foot touching while the other is in the air, there is no excuse. This is EXACTLY the kind of overturn for which replay was created.
TD
Period.
Can't believe I have to read affirmations of the replay call on a Michigan Board. If we can't get enough homerism, can we at LEAST get objectivity when it favors the home team?!
November 18th, 2017 at 4:13 PM ^
You’re either blind or stupid.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:00 PM ^
Butthurt fans, PLEASE don't make us have to do the whole "in defense of Jim Harbaugh thing" again...
November 18th, 2017 at 4:01 PM ^
we were SUPPOSED to win eight games, and we did that despite losing our no. 1 QB and eventually our no.2 QB as well. Who could we replace Harbaugh with? I don't think Swinney, Meyer, or Saban are coming. Those are literally the only coaches you could argue are better.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
so chill your dicks and expect more next year
November 18th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
I refuse to put my pecker on ice. It sounds uncomfortable.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:03 PM ^
well, Wisconsisn seems to have had no problem finding a better coach
November 18th, 2017 at 4:04 PM ^
Are all your posts this factually deficient?
November 18th, 2017 at 4:17 PM ^
Adjustments.
You know. Coaching.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:19 PM ^
Wisconsin beat a Michigan team without their best QB, two best RB, best WR, and best OL on offense. And their best secondary player on defense. So yeah they won but Michigan was ahead and got screwed on a few calls and then Peters went out. I appreciate O'Korns efforts, but everyone knew he wouldn't be able to throw them back into it. Wisconsin is going to get beat by 4 scores or more against OSU and this OSU team is their worst since Meyer took over.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:21 PM ^
Their non conference is a joke
And their BIG schedule is a joke
2 toughest games were us and Iowa both at home.
November 18th, 2017 at 7:09 PM ^
And they won them.
November 18th, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
Do us all a favor - go find yourself a team with a better coach. Go ahead, we'll congratulate you when you find it. Clearly there are better choices for you...
November 18th, 2017 at 4:03 PM ^
I would hope that we could beat 8 sub-.500 teams. Because that's exactly what we did. Very impressive.....
November 18th, 2017 at 4:03 PM ^
well, Wisconsisn seems to have had no problem finding a better coach
November 18th, 2017 at 5:03 PM ^
Wisky last year. So was JH better last year but lost his coaching ability in 2017? Your reason seems logical.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:20 PM ^
You honestly believe Paul Chryst is a better football coach than Jim Harbaugh? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha you should watch another sport. Some people don't have any clue what they're watching.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
So...Michigan was supposed to defeat zero teams with a .500 or better record this season? Gotcha.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:10 PM ^
Supposed to based on what? x, y and z things that mean we won’t win more than 8 games? The question then is why are x, y and z things not as good. And THAT is the reason to be upset. Never change the standard or expectations. Once you do you get caught in accepting mediocrity
November 18th, 2017 at 4:11 PM ^
Dantonio is literally more accomplished than Harbaugh at the college level.
8 wins was a worse case scenario. I agree we are at worse case scenario. But Brian predicted 10-2 for the season.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:15 PM ^
Half the time I think he’s as full of shit as the entire crew at the Wolverine.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:17 PM ^
Lmao you think Dantonio would come to Ann Arbor?
November 18th, 2017 at 4:53 PM ^
No, but he is better than harbaugh
November 18th, 2017 at 10:43 PM ^
Dantonio is in his 11th yr at MSU and Harbaugh is just finishing his 3rd year. I'd take yr 11 Harbaugh over yr 11 Dantonio if we're comparing apples to apples.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
I will always love this team but I have accepted the fact that Michigan's glory days are long gone. I don't like it, but I have accepted it. I am grateful I was around to see us win a national championship, which the new generation will probably never sniff. It's probably better this way as a Michigan loss would ruin my day or even weekend. Nowadays I go about my business as usual. "If you don't have any expectations you can't be disappointed."
November 18th, 2017 at 9:33 PM ^
maybe you should take a break for awhile chief.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:04 PM ^
I'm bummed along with everyone but we were outplaying them and were in it well into the third. There were a few stumbles or unfavorable calls on critical plays and dang if they didn't hit 4 crucial passes into windows that were inches wide. They beat us 8/10 times, but we aren't as bad as people are making it out to be. Unfortunately, I have little faith in Okorn going forward. Hope Speight can return somehow.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:23 PM ^
Those aren’t arm punts or lucky plays. Our DBs are obviously not taught to play the ball. This is on film. Other teams aren’t stupid, and they know their guys are “open” when playing Michigan when they would be covered against other teams.
The QB throws what might look to be a 50/50 ball, but it is really a 100/0 ball because we will never turn and make a play on the ball.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:54 PM ^
Nah, but maybe they were 10/0 balls
November 18th, 2017 at 5:29 PM ^
...the NUMBER ONE PASS DEFENSE in the COUNTRY you fucking idiot. Check out the NCAA website.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
too much Harbaugh worhip around here- MGoBlog looks like a shrine to him- there ARE better coaches out there we could get
November 18th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
Not really but we can find better fans. Like for example, I say we get rid of you.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:53 PM ^
dave brandon would agree
November 18th, 2017 at 4:20 PM ^
Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, and literally Jesus.
That was easy.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:52 PM ^
over any of those 3
November 18th, 2017 at 5:26 PM ^
Chris Peterson, David Shaw, and Dan Mullen
November 18th, 2017 at 8:11 PM ^
Dan Mullen? Did you see his 4th qtr against Bama? And what has he ever done, aside from hamblasting Rich Rod?
And exactly what has David Shaw done at Stanford? He's kept his team every bit as competitive as Harbaugh is keeping his. And Harbaugh built that program for him.
Peterson is a good coach, maybe an argument there. But I'll keep Harbaugh, thanks.
November 18th, 2017 at 9:17 PM ^
Peterson and Mullen? More posters who clearly don't know about football. Have you seen Peterson's record this year? With his starting QB.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:09 PM ^
Suggest one
November 18th, 2017 at 4:11 PM ^
You seem to have ideas...so who ya got to replace him?
