17-17 UM v. Wisconsin Tie! Sore Loser Edition

Submitted by RedRum on

Dear University of Michigan Athletic Department.

You have embarrassed ME for the last time. I'm tired of being disappointed by the efforts of countless coaches and 18-22 year olds of which i have contributed nothing.  My ego and hurt butt will not abide another infliction to my tertiary hobby of spectating amateur sports.

Blame the refs portion of my bitterness: Clear block in the back on the first Wisconsin touchdown, clear touchdown by DPJ. In the end, however, Wisconsin wore our defense down and knocked our offensive weapons off center.  (Gentry could have come down with a couple of those catches, but again, see the snarky paragraph above).

We are likely to go 8-4 for this season. I'm sad about it - but we are rebuilding.  Anyone who questions Harbaugh is, and I know I'm being preemptive with comments, an impatient idiot.

Couple of questions for the board:

Is it wrong to yell at the TV for DPJ to run forward on punt returns.  He does more dancing than MC Hammer on “Cant touch this?”

Gentry dropped some passes. Can’t we put Bunting in the game?

Why wasn’t Perry target more?

Clean hit on Peters, but why was he savaged 3 times before the knock out? Even if our line is terrible and collapses, at least we  can get a lineman to slow the collision right?

Lastly, This loss hurts. We had them in a good corner up three in the third quarter.  I see UM turning a corner soon, but the loss hurts none-the less. Go Blue!!

Impede Trolls! Go Blue! Impede Trolls! Stop Butt Hurt! Recognize 2017 as a rebuilding year! Go Blue! Support your team! This isn’t about you! This is a hobby for us! Love you guys! Go Blue! I had too much wine during the game! Go Blue!

When you can go frame by frame, and show a frame with one foot touching while the other is in the air, there is no excuse. This is EXACTLY the kind of overturn for which replay was created.

TD

Period.

Can't believe I have to read affirmations of the replay call on a Michigan Board. If we can't get enough homerism, can we at LEAST get objectivity when it favors the home team?!

we were SUPPOSED to win eight games, and we did that despite losing our no. 1 QB and eventually our no.2 QB as well. Who could we replace Harbaugh with? I don't think Swinney, Meyer, or Saban are coming. Those are literally the only coaches you could argue are better.

Wisconsin beat a Michigan team without their best QB, two best RB, best WR, and best OL on offense. And their best secondary player on defense. So yeah they won but Michigan was ahead and got screwed on a few calls and then Peters went out. I appreciate O'Korns efforts, but everyone knew he wouldn't be able to throw them back into it. Wisconsin is going to get beat by 4 scores or more against OSU and this OSU team is their worst since Meyer took over.

Supposed to based on what? x, y and z things that mean we won’t win more than 8 games? The question then is why are x, y and z things not as good. And THAT is the reason to be upset. Never change the standard or expectations. Once you do you get caught in accepting mediocrity

I will always love this team but I have accepted the fact that Michigan's glory days are long gone. I don't like it, but I have accepted it. I am grateful I was around to see us win a national championship, which the new generation will probably never sniff. It's probably better this way as a Michigan loss would ruin my day or even weekend. Nowadays I go about my business as usual. "If you don't have any expectations you can't be disappointed."

I'm bummed along with everyone but we were outplaying them and were in it well into the third. There were a few stumbles or unfavorable calls on critical plays and dang if they didn't hit 4 crucial passes into windows that were inches wide. They beat us 8/10 times, but we aren't as bad as people are making it out to be.  Unfortunately, I have little faith in Okorn going forward.  Hope Speight can return somehow.

Those aren’t arm punts or lucky plays. Our DBs are obviously not taught to play the ball. This is on film. Other teams aren’t stupid, and they know their guys are “open” when playing Michigan when they would be covered against other teams.

The QB throws what might look to be a 50/50 ball, but it is really a 100/0 ball because we will never turn and make a play on the ball.

Dan Mullen?  Did you see his 4th qtr against Bama?  And what has he ever done, aside from hamblasting Rich Rod?

And exactly what has David Shaw done at Stanford?  He's kept his team every bit as competitive as Harbaugh is keeping his.  And Harbaugh built that program for him.

Peterson is a good coach, maybe an argument there.  But I'll keep Harbaugh, thanks.
