No substitute for speed.

I love this Texas Tech tempo passing offense. That is what Id run if I were a coach. I remember when Michigan in the late 90s had trouble running the ball, despite having a ton of future NFL linemen on the line. When behind in the game they would go 4 wides and Brady would just pick people a part. It really puts pressure on a D, especially if you go up tempo. Gotta have a Qb though.

We beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl that way.
Makes you wonder why we did not just do that the whole game. Wouldn't be sportin' I guess.
December 29th, 2015 at 10:46 PM ^
this offense in 2008...but I don't necessarily want to start that argument now.
December 29th, 2015 at 10:52 PM ^
No, I would not want to run this offense. Especially not in the Midwest in November.
December 29th, 2015 at 10:56 PM ^
Snow and wind wouldnt affect that game its a quick passing game. WRs have an advantage on a frozen field over DBs and LBs. I see no problem with it.

Pathetic throw for a D1 QB.
December 29th, 2015 at 10:53 PM ^
Les looks young...younger than Durkin who is half his age
December 29th, 2015 at 11:21 PM ^
Sam Ponder...now Maria Taylor and Kaylee Hartung and that Miss Florida model chic.
That'll do it.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:26 PM ^
He's soooooo bad. He's trying to open it up because of the pressure on him but he's awful. It's predictable and you have the best RB in the country on your team versus a horrible D.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:31 PM ^
can't scheme up a offense. He's running 90s offense only in spread formation. Sad thing is he's the highest paid OC in the country.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:38 PM ^
Meanwhile TCU, Baylor, Houston are all around the corner with super talented, young, innovative OCs. TCUs is a "co-OC"...go get him and give that Cameron money.
I especially don't understand why they don't go to a spread knowing that's what beats Bama.
But even beyond a spread...you have to stop this 1990's bullshit that they don't even run in the NFL.

Okay Fournette, it's all you, literally.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:29 PM ^
I am so afraid to be hopeful.
...but I am.

Any time you are facing a Les Miles offense . . . . you always have a chance.

And then...that happened

Less Miles...PLEASE go hire Major Applewhite or Sonnie Cumbie and pay them like a top OC in the country.

MVP of this bowl game right there
December 29th, 2015 at 11:39 PM ^
Too Easy.
Any play called the rest of the game that does not have #7 touch the ball should result in an automatic firing of Cam Cameron.
Just walk him right out of the stadium then and there.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:39 PM ^
Wow 2 less games than Henry and still keeping pace.
December 29th, 2015 at 11:48 PM ^
Why do they keep throwing on 1st down?
December 29th, 2015 at 11:52 PM ^
I can't really complain about LSU's last series. They threw to move the ball down the field, let Fournette get the TD.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:02 AM ^
42 is not a bad number at the moment.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:11 AM ^
Wow. TT isn't going to win this but they're still making it worth watching.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:14 AM ^
The air raid is insane but the LSU D has really turned up their own game.
Well, LSU waited for TT instead of attacking on that drive.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:17 AM ^
They are going to see Mahomes II scrambling around in their dreams for the next 10 days though.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:34 AM ^
but I'm guessing it would take that. Now TT might be shy of single digit jetseys after tonight. Particularly number 7.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:16 AM ^
Normally I am in the crowd to go for two last and keep the game stretched out for as long as possible but I think the correct call down 22 was to go for 2 there. You get it, you get momentum and know don't have to get later. You don't get you still are in it with 2- 2 point conversions. Regardless you need to stop and score.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:28 AM ^
I remember Michigan trying to recruit him a couple years ago. Still wonder what it would have been like if somehow we could have gotten him in the Maize and Blue...
December 30th, 2015 at 12:41 AM ^
Then Brady Hoke would still be our head coach.
It was all for the best.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:47 AM ^
getting swarmed five yards behind the line like every other back we have now.
December 30th, 2015 at 12:49 AM ^
ranting in the other thread.
i'm going to get thru today 2-2 I lost the Baylor game (I thought NC would be better prepared for the run) and the Nevada-Colo St game (the Game No One Got to See). brings my overall bowl record to 20-6
December 30th, 2015 at 12:55 AM ^
walking off the field with a bowl win. I hope this takes a little of the heat off him down in Tiger country.
That said, I'm glad we have Harbaugh rather than Miles now. Because now NOBODY HAS IT BETTER THAN US!
