12/26/09 Bowl Open Thread... RAWRCATZ edition

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on
I guess if I was betting money, I'd bet against all of my bowl pick'em choices. I'm currently sporting a 2-4 record. Marshall just returned a punt to go up 14-0. Lots of good games. Open thread for the day can start here. Schedule via awfulannouncing:
  • Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl: Marshall v. Ohio (ESPN, 1pm)- Pam Ward, Ray Bentley
  • Meineke Car Care Bowl: North Carolina v. Pittsburgh (ESPN, 4:30pm)- Bob Wischusen, Bob Griese, Chris Spielman, Quint Kessenich
  • Emerald Bowl: USC v. Boston College (ESPN, 8pm)- Joe Tessitore, Rod Gilmore, Todd Harris

The matchup is uninteresting and Pam Ward is "working" the game. Usually, either one of these is a borderline deal-breaker. A scenario that involves both at the same time is too much for me to tolerate.

Bowl Chronicles had better majo at mgo than at jcb C'mon RAWRCATZ. Is it wrong that I chased them -2 on the 2nd half line? I should be spending time with the family not chasing bad bets on crappy bowl games. Tis the season all around.

Dang, thanks for the heads up on today's post. I dont what happened there. I blame my northern Michigan vacation and this tasty mixture of rum and egg nog on all technical difficulties the last few days. I have no clue whats up with the comments. Thanks for letting me know as I had no idea people were getting pushed away like that. I'll get my 'people' on it.

Although, I will say the Pitt/UNC game is one I am really looking forward to. Love the recruiting the programs have done. Big fan of the talent on the UNC team. If they only had a competent offense, this team could be dangerous.

A whistle in the stands, we can't have that. That's a new one. Take it easy on Pam Ward, a man has to make a living. I can't wait to see how USC performs in a bowl outside of Southern California.

So UNC had about 7 penalties on the touchdown drive, including at least 4 on first and goal. Of course Greg Little punts the ball into the stands on the touchdown. Wooo excessive celebration.

Anyone watching BC vs USC? Name of the game has burn turn overs. Also they had the same kid from game day give an interview (Jason?), what a tough kid, wasn't even phased. Kinda makes me feel bad for hoping USC gets stomped.
