The worst day in Michigan football was November 17, 2006.

This is also up there with The Horror. RIP Coach Schembechler.

The worst day in the history of this board was Dec. 13, 2008 because that was when you registered. Go to hell.

Losing Bo's last game in the Rose Bowl to USC in 1990. We had the better team. The Rose Bowl was never kind to us.

Since a victory today would have been a major upset, a loss isn't the worst thing to ever happen to Michigan. It was expected and the score wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. My three "worst day" candidates:
1. The Horror
2. UM/OSU 1968
3. 2007 Rose Bowl
And I would put Minnesota upsetting undefeated Michigan with Jim Harbaugh at QB in the 80's on a very cold day in the Big House as a very close fourth.
On the bright side, though, Michigan is having a better year than two of last year's top five teams. Florida lost 31-8 to FSU in their rivalry game, finishing with the same 7-5 record as Michigan, and Texas isn't even eligible for a bowl. Wiscy hung 70 on NW today, which is definitely more than they hung on Michigan last week.
I may have to take a media fast, or at least an MSU fast, for a few days, because the OMGFRDKRODNOW people will be out in force. The MSM outlets will all try to "outscoop" each other on the RR "story" again, and poor Sam and Ira will get many irate, irrational callers on WTKA. The comment fields of mlive and A2 dot com will be full of hungry maggots feasting on the latest loss.
Hopefully, RR gets his chance to finish what he has started at Michigan, and we are all laughing about the coming week after the OSU game next year.

I was thinking it was the date of the poster's conception. Poor decisions, poor decisions...
