McDowell looks like he needs a lot of technique coaching, not that that's unusual for a HS junior. Watching him today though, my fear is that he wil end up being too tall to play DT and too heavy to play DE.

He will be fine. Can't teach his size and quickness. Give him a couple of years with Hoke and Mattison and he will be a force.

Absolutely, he has shown flashes of terrific mobility for being such a massive human being.

He definitely plays a little too high, but the play he made a few minutes ago where he chased an Ishpeming RB to the sideline was pretty amazing. Remarkable speed for a guy his size.

Yeah he should be making a bigger impact. He is a lot bigger than everyone out there, but you don't notice him a lot of the time.

Jourdan Lewis (M verbal) 89 yard TD reception on Cass Techs first play from scrimmage
Damon Webb (M target class 14): caused a fumble and recovered it, then intercepted a pass to stall out a CC drive in the second quarter.
Gary Hosey (M target, FB/RB class 14) out with injury.
Wyatt Shallman Catholic Central (M verbal) : one carry for a couple yards that I saw.
Cass Tech leads 12-0 with 3:30 to go in half, but CC is driving in.

Congrats to Cass Tech: back to back State Champs
Cass Tech 36 CC 21
Cass Tech is a virtual All-Star team. With the City of Detroit population down to around 700,000, a majority of the good football players in the city seem to end up at Cass Tech. Would not be surprised to see Cass Tech win 3 or 4 State Titles in a row. Just about every player on the team is a Division One college football prospect. Still great job by Thomas Wilcher to win two in a row.
Cass Tech school color is green, but as team made their walk from the HS to Ford Field, a few of the players were sporting M gear. Good to see.
