100 Michigan Touchdowns. It doesnt get any better than this!
Forgive me for the embedding failure I lost my note on how to do that. This video by our good friend WolverineHistorian has me seriously even more psyched for September 1st. LETS GET THIS SEASON GOING!!!
I loved it!!!!! Thanks for sharing the Best of Times (no I'm not going to introduce Styx to the youngsters!)
It had me at #1
GREATEST
VIDEO
EVER
# 27 is so random by the way.
If I cried a little does that make me less of a man, or more of a Michigan fan?
and man
A Michigan Man
#27 is what Borges has cooked up for his diamond formation!
I seriously can not wait for fall.
That was 22 minutes of my life well spent.
Liked, would recommend to a friend.
I think the announcer really overdid it for #79.
Was that the anouncing convention in the 40s?
Just awesome.
This video is a little bundle of joy sent from heaven. Sadly though, the entire 20 minutes all i could think about is how undeniably shitty game announcers are these days. Even just ten years ago they were exponentially better. Its like they think theyre too cool to get excited or something. Joe Buck syndrome I think it's called. Ive never cared enough to do the radio audio with the tv thing but I think Im gonna have to this year, assuming I can make it work in Ohio. I just need an announcer who understands why I sometimes need to sprint a lap atound my house after a Wolverine touchdown.
these guys seem excited:
Good lord, who are those announcers? I'm guessing ND fans? In any case, they seriously need some riddle-out.
Pretty sure they're the ND radio / play-by-play guys
Awesome. I spent 22 minutes and did not regret it.
I have to say, I was hoping for a little more Steve Breaston, but I guess that's what the rest of youtube is for.
tremendous job
The third one gets me a little pissed because of how nice and plain the away jerseys once were way back in 2006...
I still have my white Nike block maize and blue Ms on the sleeves. Its #7. God I miss that jersey.
thank you.
One: i had almost forgotten how often we broke Psu hearts
two: denards first TD was missing.
Posts like that are why I come here!
Go Blue!
All I could think about the whole time was how boring the jerseys were...
~Herm
I get goosebumps every time Anthony Carter breaks that last tackle against Indiana.
tip of the cap to you, good sir
Wait a second,100 Michigan touchdowns and no John Navarre Buffalo Stampede? I call shenanigans.
Awesome video. So jacked for Fall.
If I had to pick a favorite it'd probably be the Ty Wheatley run. Not because of imporatance, but just the display of athleticism. Perfect combination of speed and power.
Bless you.
Outstanding
is "the catch" - 4th down vs. ND at The Big House, Grbac to Desmond. The video crapped out on me, so maybe it's in there but I couldn't see it.
Great call by Musberger in his heyday too.
"Grbac to fire for it. He went for it all! A diving catch for a touchdown! Holy cow! Would you believe this!"
The 91 ND game may have my greatest football moment as a Michigan student. Ended 4 years of frustration against Holtz and the Irish. I just remember sitting in the stadium with a contented grin on my face for like a half hour after the game ended. Glorious.
Double post fail, but yes I liked it this much.
Great vid. A lot of memories. I'm surprised there wasn't a single Ricky Powers TD. He was one of my favorites despite some of his fumbling problems.
That was darn-tootin!
Wolverine Historian is the shit! It's amazing how much old film and memories he has to share.
This is the awesomest! Must watch on infinite loop. This is why I hate my job - it keeps me from basking in pure Columbian awesome 24/7.
This is glorious.
I feel stupid, but I didn't know Marlin Jackson wore #20.
So many memories. Thank you
But how the heck did you leave out the Navarre-era Transcontinental?
and THANK YOU for making that.
What a wonderful trip down memory lane.
Wow.
now i have to watch it again because i can not stop grinning.
I LOVE hearing those words...TOUCHDOWN MICHIGAN!! I cannot wait for the season to start...Thanks for posting...AWESOME video
Crack.
Can someone explain to me what's going on in #27? I'm colorblind and confused.
I woke up and watched this first thing, and I am officially more pumped than the coffee could ever make me.
A few standouts (really, they all are):
#24 - I sort of miss MSU making more Michigan touchdowns possible. Getting tackled into your own end zone after a blocked punt? Yes, thanks.
#31 - I'll never get tired of watching that return by Woodson.
#56 - Harbaugh-to-Kolesar...almost forgot how well that combination worked.
I will watch this again later, I think.
#27 is one of the seven TDs we scored in the 49-0 bitch-slapping, curb stomping beat-down of USC in the Jan. 1, 1948 Rose Bowl. Although ranked second in the AP at the end of the regular season, the Wolverines were selected as the nation's No. 1 team over Notre Dame in a special AP Poll taken after the bowl games.
Aside from the age of the film, another thing that makes it look weird is that both Michigan and USC wore their home jerseys in the game.

My guess is that it's film rather than a TV broadcast, and that the fakey crowd noise was added many years ago.
