I was there in the student section.  Almost couldn't watch for that last play, although I'm glad I did!  That was absolutely insane!  The cherry on top for me was this pair of PSU fans who were being me the whole game, just being obnoxious as hell.  After I stopped jumping & screaming following the play, I turned around - sure enough, they had ghosted post-haste, and were nowhere to be found.

All those who say the stadium could never get sufficiently loud before the renovations do not remember the sheer maelstrom of sound unleashed out of total silence when Manningham caught that pass. It was unreal--dare I say, moreso than Braylonfest the year before.

I was at Gotham Hall on the promenade in Santa Monica, which was the Michigan bar in Los Angeles at the time (or the primary one, I think). It was the middle of a tough season, but the place was packed full.

I was there.  Sitting in the opposite end zone.  I couldn't see the ball after it left Henne's hands so I had to watch the fans reaction on the other side of the stadium....and when they started cheering, I started screaming and almost felt like I was going to pass out.

After the game, dad and I are walking down Hoover Street and we pass a frat boy sitting on the roof of a house with a bullhorn saying, "Seven in a row!!"  "Attention ladies and gentlemen, Joe Paterno is dead."

That was an amazing night.

Seats in the opposite endzone, but at such an angle that I saw the passing lane perfectly open up for Chad to rifle it in to Mario.  What followed was pure euphoria.

TOUCHDOWN, MANNINGHAM!

MICHIGAN WINS!!

Well said, Brad Nessler.  Well said.

I was there too, except I was in a section relatively close to the catch itself, and I will say that in terms of decibels, that section went from polite conversation to death metal in about 0.00001 seconds and it was absolutely glorious. Indeed, my ears were still ringing as I walked towards the car and I did not mind at all.

I remember that.  It was the season where we won seven games and beat the #1 team in the country, and most of us fans thought that was as bad as the team would ever be.

I've seen some great ones, but this was the best ending and atmosphere I've ever been a part of at the Big House. I was 6th row in that endzone, slightly left of the goal post, almost directly up from wear Manningham caught it. I can still see everything so clearly. I picked my girlfriend up on my shoulder in a fireman's carry and was jumping on the seats losing my mind. Just an absolutely epic win.

I was about to say that this was my first great Big House moment, but MSU 3OT was a year earlier. So this is my second great Big House moment, and definitely the one from my childhood I remember most clearly. It's the only game I've sat somewhere other than my family's seats. For some reasons things got shuffled around and me and the little brother and Grandpa sat with one of Grandpa's best friends. I have never seen Grandpa happier. Not even at UTL I. I remember us talking about Carr fighting for the extra second the whole drive home.

Man its getting dusty in here...

I was at the M alumni bar in Philly, which is prime PSU territory.  The bar briefly turned into a legit mosh pit for about 60 seconds after the catch.  When we looked around, all of the PSU'ers had someone paid their tabs and/or snuck out during our celebrating.  It was suddenly deathly quiet and glorious.

I still can't figure out why PSU kicked it to Breaston for that last drive. It would have never been possible if they just kicked away from him.

1 of only 2 games I've missed watching live in the last 10 years. This year's BYU game was the other. I don't regret missing BYU because I was camping with friends and it was awesome, but I definitely regret going to a shift at a crappy private community pool and missing this play and game. I wasn't even a life guard, I just watched the gate. It was terrible.
