ohio state blogs will post literally anything
10 OSU juniors examining NFL draft prospects
would be go to the NFL...
Every year a lot of them file the paperwork to be evaluated.
+ 100 to you sir! just made me fall out of my chair! i just wonder if all those tutors Hankins was talking about isn't coloring their paperwork for them.
All of those guys would make fantastic NFL players and should explore that option sooner rather than later haha
How sad is it that every year we root so hard for as many OSU players as possible to declare for the draft just so we'll have a decent shot at beating them the following season? Man, the last Michigan win over OSU seems like an eternity.
7 damn years I was there. Braylon, rose in mouth I rushed the field, amazing. I miss so much for those days, my sentances are in fragments, and I don't care DAMN YOU OHIO STATE
M was 10-2-1 vs tUofOSU...things ebb and flow. We'll be back, and soon.
I believe OSU would lose their entire starting defense if all the juniors left.
Other OSU news has two ineligible for the Rose Bowl including Duron Carter per ESPN.
I love this quote from St. Tress in the article...
Asked if any players were in major jeopardy, Tressel said, "I assume everyone's in major jeopardy until I see [the grades]."
Really, Tress, you assume EVERYONE is in major jeopardy in regards to academics on your team until you hear otherwise?
That doesn't say a whole lot for scholastic abilities of his football players, does it?
So. I assume everyone kills people until proven otherwise.
I am surprised he said that since ohio State has led the Big Ten in Academic All Big Ten Selections the last six years.
you're getting those marks versus the student body at tUofOSU...all big ten academic at tUofOSU is like being the best curler in Equador.
Your grammar and capitalization are terrible, plus punctuation is your friend, not an enemy.
Is Ryan Mallett considering go pro? I see his name in a suggesting ESPN Insider headline, but I don't have a subscription
First thing I thought when I saw that Locker was staying ... I wonder how high Mallett's stock will get now. You'd have to imagine with 6 high profile QB's already coming out (Clausen, Pike, McCoy, Tebow, Bradford and Snead) that he'd be very late 2nd/ 3rd round-ish? Who on that list could he possibly be drafted before besides maybe Snead and the slim possibly of Pike?
He would probably be the least experienced Junior to ever declare for the draft: one year of spot duty, one year on the bench, and one year as a starter.
Has any QB ever forgone two years of eligibility?
My guess is Mallett goes pro after next season.
and he went 5th overall. As for the other QBs coming out, most run out of a spread and there has only been one spread QB that has had a successful NFL career, Drew Brees.
Michael Vick left after his redshirt sophomore season at VT.
Mallett should definitely stay at least one more year to develop and mature, but in terms of innate ability to compete at the NFL level and "make all the throws", Mallett is probably superior to ALL of those guys you have listed.
Pike, McCoy and Bradford are all "system" guys. I very much doubt that they will have success in the NFL.
Tebow is a fullback who throws an ugly, "heavy" ball. I doubt he will even play QB in the NFL.
Clausen basically throws the ball up for grabs and lets his two All-American wideouts grab it and just chucks it out of bounds if a defender gets within two feet of him...but he has better potential then the other four I previously mentioned.
Snead....I haven't seen enough of him to pass judgement.
Of course, ALL of this is just one, non-NFL scout's opinion.
You're not giving any of those guys enough credit
Pre-draft workouts, I think Mallett is easily third on that list. If Bradford isn't completely healthy, Mallett could climb all the way to the second QB.
I like McCoy and see his as being a potentially good NFL QB, but most scouts tend to disagree. The only team that seems interested in Tebow at all is Jacksonville and it's not really because of his skills. Doesn't Snead also have another year? Plus he was so-so at best this year. Pike will be seen in the same vain as the Texas Tech QB's. With the potential labor strife, it might be worth him leaving.
out of that list.. I'd draft Mallet over all except Jimmah and maybe Bradford. With Locker staying.. This might be Mallet's best chance.. he's definitely getting picked over McCoy, Pike, and Snead... and with Bradford's gimpy shoulder....
You forgot Dan Lefevour. He's basically an NFL arm on Tebow's body. He'll be the fourth QB after Clausen, Bradford, and McCoy. Hell, I might even take him before McCoy
I think you could make a case he would be drafted 1st out of that group. He projects better as a pro than all of them, except maybe clausen.
is staying his stock is up

You just took a ride on the failboat.
Sorry I did not realize that a link did not count, and i was just tryin to make a joke. I admit it was a terrible one.
He is listed as the 2nd rated junior cb in a possibly unreliable bleacher report. But (with seniors and juniors included) is not even listed as honorable mention in the espn all american team. So he is not even in the top 150 or so by that measure.
IMO, the chances of being a first rounder should be much better for him next year.
