Or maybe God does care enough about one individual--each, one individual--to actually provide wisdom and guidance to find the right path...if he or she will listen. I would venture those committing murder, rape and war have rejected God's plan and ignored His attempts to redirect their violence. We have free will, my friend, but that does not mean God is voiceless to those who will listen. I don't speak for Him, but i would venture that neither can you speak for how this young man made his decision.

If you want to have a theological discourse, probably best not here. Suffice it to say that God is not a panacea nor is he unfeeling. But, the rain falls on the just and the unjust....and suffering is a part of the fall of man. However, the suffering, even if entirely unwarranted, is but for a short time compared to an eternity of peace, protection and provision with him. If God had not sent his own son to die a horrible death for our atonement, perhaps you would have a beef. Personally, i've got twin 6 year old boys and i wouldn't give them up for anyone!

The funny thing about this is that - on Twitter - news of his decommitment from UCLA is still being retweeted but is now interspersed with news of Jones' commitment to Notre Dame. Whatever tweets / releases Jones made were clearly just mere seconds apart. Meanwhile, anyone trying to write a recruting roundup at the moment is furiously editing some story that they published just a moment ago.

When Clark was talking about the attraction to UM and UCLA he pointed out the path to playing time at UCLA was easier. So that weighs on him. He didn't give the "I don't mind competition" line. Nowit got even easier. Not good.

Also, in the tradition of liquor-named people, Alize Jones is pretty great. But he's no Courvoisier Winetavius Richardson.
