I love how they think an aerial banner will distract Harbaugh or anyone on Michigan during practice. They play in front of 110k plus fans half the year and everyone of them has seen a plane before.

It's kinda funny... It's a rivalry, and just like when Brandon decided to do Go Blue over Spartan Stadium, I think this could be a wonderful opportunity to give some money to the Chad Tough campaign to equal or exceed the amount.

But OSU hasn't had a rivalry with Michigan for about 10 years now. OSU's rival is with the best team in the state of Michigan, which based on actual wins, not fan based shit talk, is MSU. But it would still be fun to remind recruits that OSU beats Michigan every year, and the last time 42-13 at the big house with the world watching. That was fun.

is the effect upon yourself/own team.

Statements like Harbaugh's in 1986 (to the effect of "C'Mon guys, let's get our heads out of our asses (after the Minny loss)") can be marginally helpful, while false self-assurances like that of Terry Glenn ("Michigan is nothing" 1995--oops) or David Boston ("we should beat them by two or three touchdowns" 1997--oops) ignore the difficulty of the upcoming battle.

They have only won 1 time in the last 13 games, got beat 42-13 at home, ruined the fantasy that Crazy Jim could out coach Urban Meyer and then made Crazy Jim cry in the postgame interview, there were no tears, but he was definitely crying. I would think the tank was full, obviously it's not the fuel that matters.

I like bringing more attention to the Michigan-OSU rivalry and to our invasion of Florida. Of course, the SEC would call for a rule against it. It's unfair to somebody, I am sure.

I only have this to add:

Well, if you insist, Buckeye Nation, but please do not let the author of the post behind the posted link write the banner. After all, you want us to be even more fired up for November, correct? Having this dude handle the content of the banner might have everyone confused at best even when November rolls around. You want "Let's kick their ass", not "What the hell was he even trying to say?"

If the charity manages its finances like osu does, they should net somewhere in the range of $13,000 after all is said and done.

But better than the charitable act (like every school in the nation does) is the 1st Comment to the linked article ...do you think this Commenter knows his/her audience??  I think so.

They are seriously of the opinion that this will be the best troll job anyone has ever thought of. After they spend all the money and set it up, it will a huge disappointment when their not so clever sign makes everyone go: meh.

Who cares what they do. Just another image of the classless fan base. Not all of course.

They will only bring more marketing to Michigan when they do regardless of its then ripping us.

The world knows what JH is doing and it's a matter of time till Urban is in deep trouble and last years score will be flip flopped

Lots of coaches put banners up reminding teams of lost rivalry games from the previous year in the locker room. I'm ok with Buckeyes paying for our extra motivation. Their loss. Also, it'll make Harbaugh look like even more of a genius if they have to invade his practice to get publicity instead of creating it themselves for their program.

Harbaugh's living in their heads, rent free.

Does anybody even know when or where Ohio State's spring practice is?  Does anybody even care?

I couldn't help but read those messages with an uneducated redneck southern' twang accent in my head...

'Lets fly a banner, that'll show 'em! Whoooweee!!'

I'll put money that Harbaugh takes a photo of that banner and tweets it out with a laugh...

Few thoughts....

1) The author of that post shouldn't be writing sentences on the Internet.
2) How is it no one on that thread was like... "This is dumb. How about we just keep kicking Michigan's asses?" Not even one person objected. I assumed there would be even one reasonable person.
3) This level of hubris will not go unpunished and it will be so sweet when we start beating them again.

...are serious about it. They'll probably eventually find one person competent enough to take the lead. Not really anything to get worked about about. Certainly not original. None the less, someone should share it around Twitter so that the gag is expected..... someone other than me since I'm not active with Twitter.

well rounded human beings than on the 11 Warriors Message Board. I don't have a lot of faith that those numnuts can actually work together and accomplish a common goal. I also love that they think they would be trolling Harbaugh....when in reality, Harbaugh has already trolled them...which is why they are so fired up.

missile battery?

Seriously,  Harbaugh will make a positive out of it, but how about collecting the same amount from mgobloggers for a Children's Hospital in Columbus...turn the tables.
