1 PM Games

Deangelo Williams goes out with a leg injury, and I see Fitz Toussaint still can't pick up the blitz. On the plus side the, the Bills are up 13 on the Jets. But the way this season has gone, I expect that missed XP to be decisive.

Meanwhile the Lions are being the Lions by winning meaningless games to hurt their draft position and ensure that their mediocre coaching staff will return.

just made an incredible catch, reaching back and down as he was sliding on the wet turf, picking a ball just inches above the ground that was thrown behind him by Stafford.

And then the Lions let the drive fizzle away in Bears territory...

Eagles look like a brand new team only 6 days after firing Chip. Fuck... we don't wanna win this game. UGH

for Detroit in the final second of the half. Lions now lead the Bears at the half 10-0 in a totally meaningless game (other than for anyone who hates the Bears like I do).

I hate the Patriots so much right now.  If they weren't going to try I wish they would have just sat Brady and let me know so I could have found a different QB for my FF championship

All I will say at this point is that if indeed the Lions end up 7-9 after starting the season 1-7, it will be perhaps one of the more Lions ways to finish a season in a while. Doing rather poorly when it matters, then going on a tear when it probably doesn't matter so much anymore - it still gets to me even as we slide into this final half of the final game of their season.

The Lions win a couple of games and so it seems the sentiment is 'keep everything the same' or 'don't change anything else'.  I'm hopeful the house cleaning that was begun will continue tomorrow.  It won't, but I can hope.

J Caldwell is a really nice guy by most everything I read, but that doesn't mean we need to keep him.  S White sounds like a good guy too, but doesn't mean Lions need to employ him.

Promoting from within the Lions organiztion has not worked.  Its time to start over.  There are some great football minds outside of the Lions organization.  I hope they go find some.

The Lions defense has been up-and-down this year. There has to be some questions about Austin based on today. The Bears are starting a bunch of scrubs and they are moving the ball with relative ease today.
