This is a dead horse and a bad question.  RR is going to be missed.  No doubt, he is a top spread mind.  The defensive staff will not be missed.  This wasn't a black or white "We're going to fire a guy and get a 100% upgrade", this was more of a "trading up" kind of thing.

Any time the offense stalls out due to a bad scheme or confusion this season, just close your eyes and imagine the soft fur of a teddy bear being rubbed over your face.  That should calm you down.

Man, what an offseason this has been? I feel like I haven't been soul-punched at all really yet since the Hoke thing.

As far as the part where the offense scores points? We'll see. I'm cautiously expecting to not hate myself and the world around me as much as the last three years. Frankly I might have a healthier relationship with alcohol as well.

When our offense stalls and can't win games like last year and our defense (made up of basically the same guys as last year) can't stop people... again. Of course he will be missed.

I just hope eventually this is a move for the better of the program. In the short term it is not going to be lolipops and balloons like everyone is thinking.

This one seems pretty simple. Rich Rod the offensive mastermind will be missed. Can you imagine what a fucking machine that offense would have been with 10 returning starters and maybe (probably?) Dee Hart?

Rich Rod the guy whose job it is to hire a good defensive coordinator (and then not fire him, apparently) and recruit defensive players who do not flame out spectacularly will not be missed.

And for some, Rich Rod the guy who "didn't get it" will not be missed. I will not not miss that guy, but it seems like many around here will. Not miss that guy, I mean.

Okay, maybe it wasn't that simple...
