Should Nebraska Fans Fear Cousins?
God...have times changed or what? You have Nebraska fans worrying about Sparty. It seems like only yesterday I was watching Nick Saban's MSU squads getting killed by the huskers 50-10 and then 55-14 the following year. Both games could have been so much worse.
That's part of the mental makeup of our fanbase that you'll learn about in the coming months - we can find the worst-case scenario anywhere. I remember once making a case about how McNeese St's mobile quarterback was going to give us fits. The home loss to Iowa State a couple of years ago just reinvigorated the we-can-lose-to-anybody-no-really-we-can-just-watch complex.
The Michigan version of this is expecting to win every single game but not being surprised when we don't. My own reaction when the final field goal attempt in THE HORROR was blocked was not outrage or sadness, but "of course that happened."
I can look at any other team and be reasonable, UM I can make an argument why they might lose to EMU...Why the heck I still watch is be on me. Good luck NEBRASKA, may you win every game but one.
