On Second Thought, The NCAA Should Have Given USC The Death Penalty
me @ TSB
...talking, Brian. The Men of Troy really do eat up their own USC exceptionalism crap. The announced sanctions only served to bring them down one peg when they deserved to be dropped several.
If only. I know you should never say "never," but I find it difficult to believe that the NCAA will hand down the death penalty any time soon, especially not to a program like USC. I will say that all of this stuff makes the Kiffin hire even more curious, not even considering his actual merits as a football coach (of which I'm obliged to believe are quite slim). They couldn't have hired a more unsuitable guy to handle the program in its current state.
With Kiffin there and the AD not having been shitcanned yet (which he probably should have been the instant he hired Kiffin, if not before), it's only a matter of time before they commit another one. If it happens, the NCAA won't hesitate.
You made some friends in the comment section. Reminds me of Jay and Silent Bob Strike back when there at Moby's commenting on the Blog:
"All you motherfuckers are gonna pay. You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our shit, then shit out our shit, then eat their shit which is made up of our shit that we made 'em eat. Then you're all you motherfucks are next. Love, Jay and Silent Bob."
