If anyone hasn't read Clay Travis's "Dixieland Delight," I highly recommend it. Even though it's obviously SEC-centric, it's a must read for any college football fan. The chapter on Mississippi State covers the cowbell and the extent that the fans will go to bring one into the stadium. Pretty funny stuff.

FWIW Brian, while MSU has the best homefield advantage in the SEC based on the metric you used, I probably wouldn't put it ahead of any team in the SEC save Vandy, Kentucky and Ole Miss when it comes to intimidation factor.
