Put a cap on it.
Georgia's board of regent caps fees for athletic subsidies from students. Won't affect big schools but interesting attempt to put the breaks on for smaller schools.
I have a strange ambiguous feeling regarding this imposed limit. On the one hand it's great for small schools because they get on the same line with bigger in equipment issues for example and this limit by assimilating schools makes a victory more fair but why it won't affect big schools?
If you are interested in sport literature you can found book reports here.
Michigan and other large schools have self-funded athletic departments, so this won't affect those departments. Plenty of other schools charge students for things like football stadiums, built for football programs that don't make the school any money, while they pay teaching assistants and adjuncts poverty-level wages to teach the majority of classes, and gouge undergrads to fund sports. This is (hopefully) a step in mitigating that.
Rutgers is apparently one of the worst.
