I was gonna say, they got Cuse beat, this year. Illinois actually did somthing right. Now if we can get Purdue to do anything at all, we'd be in business
They're still Illinois though, right? If Illinois and Syracuse traded teams, would anyone notice?

I'm not sure I like the white helmets, but I do like the very subtle thick vertical stripes that hearken back to 1920s Red Grange-era football jerseys.

Other than making the neck border a little thinner, they don't have the frilly trim of many of the UNIFORMz of this era.
The other caveat is the orange jerseys w/ orange pants mentioned near the bottom of the article. That would be gaudy.

Wish they would/could use the Illini Confederation war bonnet helmet idea, but alas, never...
Mike Valenti has always caught most of the hatred from Michigan fans but I've never understood why. Valenti is just a loyal alumnus who loves his school and play run 3. He has always been fair in his criticism of Michigan.
