“Playing with guys like Trey Burke (who in my opinion is the best point guard in America right now) helps my game a lot. Trey is a very gifted passer and he looks for me on the wing a lot especially in transition,” Stauskas told NPH.
“Not only does he draw a lot of attention and get me open looks, but I also get to see first hand how hard you have to work to be one of the best players in America. Seeing him in practice every day makes me realize how much harder I have to work if I want to get to his level,” he continued.

Not only is Stauskas...
...hitting on all cylinders on the court, he's saying all the right things off the court. Nice to hear that he plans to stay on campus this summer to work on conditioning and his game. The newly legal ability for coaches to have contact with players during the summer paid great dividends this season and should be huge for Stauskas next year. With the near certain departures of Burke and Hardaway, Nik's sharpshooting is likely to be a major feature of next year's team. With continued development of his ball handling and short range game, he may become a legitimate B1G POY candidate in his sophomore campaign.
