"I wouldn't say it just appeals to recruits," senior offensive lineman Patrick Omameh said. "But with anything, if you can change it up a little bit and throw in some flair, it keeps anyone who's interested engaged."

They come here to become us, M alumni.  There's no reason at all for us to change in order to attract them.

At least not until we have troubling finding enough kids to field a team.

that the two captains and a 5th-year senior are so intimidated of retribution that they were forced to say nice things about the uniformz?

Shows a LOT of loathing (not just dislike) of David Brandon (and indirectly the coaching staff that would allow the AD to put that kind of weight on their players) and some real disdain for the players themselves for not having the guts to say what they thought.

I'm sure some players like them, but at the same time, I do think a lot of guys, even outgoing players and recent alumni aren't going to rock the boat. A guy like Dave Brandon has contacts everywhere and a large sphere of influence, and as a general rule of thumb, you don't burn bridges with people like that over something like this

I know a couple players, humblebrag, and you can believe me or not but from what I know the players like the new uniforms every once in a while.
