One of the other guys from WrightStache and I actually tried this for a few months. It was just too depressing, for one, and two I found I'm way too biased for my teams to do it. Plus it would have ended up 90 percent about basketball (because their refs have the best shot at blowing it) and neither me nor my friend are basketball fans. And finally, I realized even with about 1800 words of caveats to the effect of "we respect referees" and "most things they do are good," etc. we would end up effectively the kings of a troll nation.

Ultimately I ended up here, and he started Metalsucks.net. At some point this year we thought of doing just a "God and Stripes Hate Detroit" that decried bad officiating and the cruel universe for Detroit sports, but it fizzled on the vine. If anyone wants to try it, just send me a box of money when you're rich.

The games and athletes have transcended the ability of the refs to do a decent job anymore.  Almost every basketball game, as mentioned, has terrible calls on both side of the court.  The worst is that fouls and penalties in basketball, football, or hockey are not subject to replay.

Anyway, I think such a blog would be a "head asplode" secnario for anyone trying to do it.
