Former Wolverines anticipate return to winning tradition in football
I'm glad to see the ability to comment on articles. Was wondering with the "0 comments" when this feature would activate.
One suggestion: with Angelique, it is helpful to id the author . . . with her as the source, it makes it definitely worth reading.
One question about journalism: how much do writers edit and clean up their subject's grammer, etc.? the article quotes Mike Hart on Michigan having the "most winningest" program. I thought writers usually made their subjects sound as if their English was correct (i.e., you don't see "ain't" or double negatives, etc.)
I knew someone that transcribed player quotes for a major professional team. Let's just say that they are basically interpreting another language. If you compared the printed quotes to the actual soundbytes, you'd see that the clean up is monumental in many cases.
...Mott event was another example of the tremendous character of this program. I appreciate Long, Henson and Hart for taking the time to promote the cause and to speak up for Michigan Football.
Seconded... it was great to hear that from those guys.
Hart and Long, in particular, were (chronologically) close to the '08 season, so they probably have a better appreciation for the troubles of that year than most.
