to see people who are even slightly surprised when Brandon Graham destroys all comers.
Eagles Training Camp: Brandon Graham's Big Day
Make us proud!
Looks like he may have taken Winston Justice by surprise yesterday and not as dominant today, but still a good showing for BG:
Today was an "over 30 day" so Juqua Parker had the morning off, which meant Brandon Graham ran with the first team defense. Today, I'd say Justice clearly got the better of him. Graham is obviously relentless out there and Justice held him when he had to, but he kept Graham off the QB. The kid does have power though, there was a play where he drove Justice back to where the QB was and Justice ended up throwing him off him into Kolb as he stepped up. Kolb ended up on the ground.
Also of note, in one-on-one WR/DB drills, the author refers to Jason Avant as "uncoverable":
One of my favorite drills of camp is always the WR vs DB one on ones.
Jason Avant was absolutely uncover-able in that one on one drill. Every single time he'd make a quick move, get open, and haul in the pass. Maclin smoked Dimitri Patterson on a go route, but I still say Avant was the top WR in the drill.
Good to see our boys doing well out there for the Iggles.
Someone let me know when he STOPS killing people. That will be news.
anytime soon until he retires.
Come to Michigan.
But we also can't promise to turn you into a Batman/Superman cross. At least here, you've got the chance.
A little mercy for Eli Manning and the Giants? No? Crap.
How I miss you.
"Every time Brandon Graham is on the field, I notice him. Best description I can give at this point"
no BG mention from this morning, but Jason Avant comes in for more praise.
Then came what is probably my favorite drill, the WR vs DB one on ones. Today's drill didn't have the usual excitement given the fact that Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson, & Asante Samuel weren't there.... but it was a pretty good show nonetheless. Two guys who stood out early were Hank Baskett who streaked down the sideline to catch a long pass despite really good coverage, and Dimitri Patterson who had an absolutely vicious jam on Chad Hall that never really let the WR start his route.
The star of the drill though ended up, just like yesterday, being Jason Avant. He put a devastating move on Dimitri Patterson which sent the corner over the middle while Avant changed course and ran wide open down the sidelines. Patterson was at least 10 yards away when the ball was caught. The crowd loved that move.
