This is like Brek Shea all over again.  You can be a great athlete and get by to a certain extent, but after the drooling factor for the physical gifts wears off and you look a little closer, he's going to have to learn defense and tactics (and when not to take dumbass fouls).

And anyone who thinks he's walking into a starting role anytime soon on a top 7 EPL team is absolutely dreaming.

WOW.

Have a bad day yesterday??? He's probably not a RB in the EPL, HOWEVER, I think he would be a fantastic wide midfield player, just as Klinsmann used him in the World Cup. "Brek Shea all over again" is terribly, terribly harsh. He's young and of course he's not going to walk into a starting role -- but no one works harder on the pitch for the Sounders than him; I watch almost all of their games and he has a hustle unmatched by anyone -- and it's not all just running hard to fix your error. Even when that is the case, there's something to be said for being able to track-back and make-up for it. Speaking of Brek Shea, there's a guy who loses the ball often and does nothing about it. But Yedlin is not that type of player.
