All the points brought up by BCI are excellent. Modeling the challenge after the B1G/ACC Challenge and getting at least most of it on TV would be excellent for the schools and for college hockey in general.
Imagine if we got most of the games on BTN/ESPN2/ESPNU over the course of a Thursday-Sunday (fit it in with afternoon and evening games, say 3, 6 and 9 pm games). Would be an excellent spotlight for college hockey and a great platform for getting it on TV. I so hope this happens but will not hold my breath

over turkey day weekend perhaps?
there's a lot of football then but IDK of a better weekend, unless you can start off the season with this on Columbus day weekend.

Michigan is playing Ohio State in hockey Thanksgiving weekend (home on Friday, away on Monday) this year, and hopefully that continues for the forseeable future--I love the idea of having the Michigan v Ohio State hockey game the night before the football game.
