I think there's definitely something to be said about having a young team and all these long breaks all of a sudden and that having an effect on the chemistry and momentum of the team.

But I think you could see this coming a bit at the beginning of the year. The team was winning but doing it with 2 and 3 goal games. The number of goals we scored in regulation so far are 3, 7, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 2, 4, 6, 3, 5, 2, 2, 0, 2, 1.

That 7 was against RIT and the nice blip of the 4 6 3 5 was against UNO, Niagara, and OSU (2) which are RPI 38, 29, and 53 respectively. RIT is RPI #49.

Outside of those blips against mediocre to poor teams you get:
3, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 0, 2, 1 which equals 1.69 GPG and a record of 5-6-2.

The team just can't score goals. The fact that the defense only has 2 goals all year may be a part of it but it's deeper than that. Nagelvoort is incredible for a freshman, but he needs some help
