Regarding #10, I'm guilty of crashing a city league with two NFL players.  They were down on the depth chart but still...

The only excuse I can offer was one of the prizes was free beer from a local brewery.  Turns out millionaires still sign up for free beer.  As a bonus it was the prize for the #2 team, so we had to lay down in the championship.  It's really hard to stall your running game against over weight 40 year olds when you have a NFL guard pulling for you (eventually the QB was ordered to start throwing to the safety).

I hope this guy didn't pay any money to go to WMU .... it sounds like he had a pretty horrible experience ..... maybe he should have got better grades in High School and applied to UofM!

I don't think Western OR Kalamazoo is THAT bad.  I've been there for about dozen games.  It's a typical MAC sized school. And a 35,000ish size stadium.  I like the campus.  There are restaurants everywhere you look.  I've never been to any bars there.

I have to like Western.  It's where my parents met.  If not for Western, I would have never been born.

I agree that Kalamazoo sucks.  This view may or may not stem from visiting my ex-gf there 3-4 times a week for two years.  She lived in the shittiest apartments I have ever come across in my life.  I think they were called the Landing, on Main St near Solon.  What a fucking dump that place was: cops getting called like every nite, people's shit getting broken into, just a depressing area.  And that's not even the student ghetto.

One time we were visiting some of her friends who lived in the student ghetto, a block (A BLOCK) away from a party store.  I wanted some beer and said I'd be right back.  One of the guys who lived there said I shouldn't walk because people he knew that lived in the adjacent area have been jumped while making the two-minute walk to the store and back.  I was incredulous, and walked anyway.  I didn't get jumped, so I guess I was lucky.

The downtown area is pretty cool, I'll grant you that.  I mean, it's no Grand Rapids (or Ann Arbor or whatever), but it's nice.
