(I did a search, and the last post I could find about him in particular was from Feb 2010).

I personally think that Kornheiser and Wilbon are somewhat intelligent guys who are forced to know a little about a lot(Wilbon thinks that Michigan football is the only sports team that has practice/games over spring break) and say a lot of things that they don't truly believe sometimes to drive conversation. However, I thought this was interesting for one main reason:

ESPN controls a lot of the narrative that goes out about players, coaches, schools, programs, etc... The fact that Kornheiser and Wilbon both say that the SEC is trying to get a rule changed by the NCAA because they are SCARED, on one of the most popular shows on the SEC loving ESPN nonetheless, has to be huge for public opinion on the spring practices at IMG and HARBAUGH, of course.

For those who don't want to watch the two minute video, here is a quote that sums it up:

Kornheiser: "Everybody in college football is afraid of Jim Harbaugh because Jim Harbaugh is loud about this."

Wilbon's Response: "I agree."
MGoBoard football Thu, 11 Feb 2016 06:12:09 +0000 Cali's Goin' Blue 105544 at Rashan Gary: best DT in Rivals Era?
Rashan Gary: the best DT in Rivals era? Put another way. A single magnet the size of a pencil eraser can lift a paperclip off of a table; meaning, that tiny magnet exerts more force on the paperclip than does the gravity of our entire planet.

Should you care? Discovering gravitational waves doesn't have immediate, practical implications, except that I'm sure HARBAUGH will use them to break down defensive fronts next season. But this is a step towards confirming the basic building blocks of the universe. There could be long-term research implications from this, and ultimately, if you wanted to build a signalling device to humans around other stars (or on long-duration interstellar missions), sending gravity waves is better than light signals b/c they travel so damn far.

Here we go again? A year ago, there were rumors LIGO had discovered gravitational waves. The idea was debunked by the scientists on the project, and the rumor died down. It seems that TODAY, the rumors are exploding in the scientific community, and they aren't being debunked by the scientists involved -- just, you know, "still checking the data."

Still...pretty cool. Even if this doesn't come to pass, it's a neat window for non-scientists into the cutting edge stuff that our technology, and budgets, is able to achieve. It seems that these kind of "aha!" moments are coming more and more for us now.
MGoBoard other Tue, 12 Jan 2016 02:42:53 +0000 superstringer 104556 at Men's Hoops at Minnesota
Tip at 9.
MGoBoard basketball I see the dork who has free tickets behind the Minnesota bench Thu, 11 Feb 2016 02:08:58 +0000 RemorsefulFugitive 105539 at Dylan "D-Boss" Larkin as a thirteen year old Link:
This video is awesome.
