If in fact we are taking two dlineman i want him as one of them. He had the best showing of all our dlineman at the opening by far. He just seems to have the pedigree that i believe hoke and company could turn into something really special. Also i think Wr is much more of an important spot than alot of people are talking about. I really hope we pick two and i hope that one of them is madaris as he would be yet another ohio kid and the third or fourth out of the cincinatti area. Thank you tom for the great info.

It will be interesting to have Chesson and Madaris as well as O'Brien and Pipkins, if he comes.  Seeing another guy there who could take your spot at any time will help push commitments.

Shane Morris got an invite as well. It would be good to see him there recruiting Elmer and some of the 2013 guys, and maybe even a WR for 2012.

I read somewhere that Shane will be at an elite 7-on-7 event in Florida soon and that two of his teammates will be Dwayne Stanford and Wayne Morgan and that he plans on recruiting them hard. I know it's been repeatedly said that the Wayne Morgan ship has sailed, but I still would love to land him. I wouldn't mind stealing another highly ranked Ohio kid in Stanford either.

EDIT: Rhino77 beat me. Damnit. But you bring the booze and I'll bring some girls.

PARTY AT KALIS' HOUSE! No parents, no rules! We just have to remember to refill the pool and turn back the odometer before they get back.

Do current players attend to hob-nob with the recruits, or is it just a semi-intimate gathering of newbies or potential newbies?

Also curious how it fits into NCAA rules, though it's obvious it does, no doubt falling within the period of approved condiment-dispensing.

I'm pretty sure current players and their families are there, as are the coaches with their families.  There was a video from the bbq a couple years ago with Brandon Graham's siblings and mom in attendance.  So recruits come up with their parents, and its just a nice time to meet others involved with the program and probably a good chance for parents of recruits to talk to parents of current players to get more comfortable with the program.

Well, Burbridge is there under Maybe's, and Payton lives too far away for it to be an easy trip. In the Weekly Update, it was said that he's coming for the ND game.

Yeah I missed Burbridge my first time looking. Payton does live far away, and I saw that he was coming for the ND game when a ton of other commits and potential commits are coming, so I was hoping he might be coming to this as well.

Call me crazy but I would rather have Chesson or Madaris than Payton.

Reasons being I don't think Payton considers us in his top three, and his recognition (four star rating) is mainly based on the fact he started as a freshman for a high profile California high school team, and hasn't progressed much as a sophomore or a junior.  He is sort of like the WR version of Wormley, only he blew up as a freshman.

I would gladly take Stanford or Burbridge over any of these.  But my gut tells me that we'll only get one, and then take either Chesson or Madaris.  Madaris gets added bonus points because it would drive Sparty absolutely nuts.

They are both a good distance away I guess. Would still be great to get them on campus again though with their future teamates.

not sure about Tennessee but I live in Ft. Smith and we get about the same weather that they do and it has been unbelievably hot here. Every day in June the high temp was above 90 (first time in recorded history that has ever happened) and save one day in July the high temp has been into the 100s. They said that the average high for the month of July is 104 for this year (the hottest ever recorded). Heat indexes up around 111 -115. Yeah pretty miserable, I can't imagine doing one a days let alone 2 a days. On my days off I hide in the house with the blinds shut and wait for nightfall to go outside. My hat is off to Blake.

Wurst string of puns I've seen in a while. Good job. Enough to make me register and post for the first time. Mostly just here to lurk and keep tabs on recruiting but maybe I'll post once in a while. Michigan grad, 76, I&OE. Old fart basically. Thanks to TVH for the info and to everybody else for the innuendo.

Even older and fartier than I am-that's good!

When the season starts, you'll also enjoy the give-and-take on technical aspects of the game from the Mgoposters with some pretty impressive background and knowledge.  Great education (and fun) for a beer and cheer guy like me.

I checked back and saw that Dunn was upgraded to a Yes, and I really wanted to upvote it, but then I realized I already did. Quite depressing

Great news on Dunn!  Hopefully it stays that he is coming. Getting him back on campus is so important. Also having some of the other OH commits there will be a bonus as well instead of him just coming up on his own. It will be nice to have them in his ear about Michigan.

Getting Dunn to be there surrounded by the commits is great news. I know he's said he's had a lot of contact with Kalis so I'm hoping he's able to be there and talk face-to-face with Dunn.

2013 Dymonte Thomas says he doesn't think he'll be there. Alden Hill also said he won't be there, as I've said before I don't think he'll end up picking Michigan. As of now they're out of his top two.
