A Song for the Season
Nicely done my friend.
... Awesome! Poetic, maize and blue genius. This needs to be played 'round a campfire the night of September 3. Well done.
I could play any guitar but the one with 5 colorful plastic buttons.

Those lyrics are too awesome to not try to memorize and play before the season starts. Nice work, my MgoHomework is now to play the song and remember the lyrics, while drunk.
Excellent work.

Wow. I almost tl;dr'd it until I read the first line & realized it was "The Day the Music Died" so I decided to read on.
Song parodies aren't often very good IMHO but this was awesome! Well done!
Perfectly captures the mood of probably all of us right now.

nicely played- now if we can get enough of us in the stadium to sing it!

I hate the be that guy but it's bothering me that such perfection has a flaw. Loser's, not looser's in verse 3. Awesomely done though, very nice.

Don't know how I managed that. Fixed.
Also added two lines for two lines I forgot from the song. "there we were all in one place" and "Church bells all were broken".

And for anyone wanting to play this, it's pretty basic chord structure:

Thanks for all the time and effort. You took on one hell of a song!
May I request a revision of Alice's Restaurant next?
What a great idea! Why didn't I think of it? Song parodies can be so great... Stairway to Freebird, e.g., doesn't need anything more than its title.
I second the Alice's Restaurant nomination. On the other hand, one to avoid at almost all costs would be Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Blaze - this is fabulous. Bra-to-the-vo!
love this line:
Could we get Jerry Sprague to sing it?
