I think that was kind of the idea...
"Sometimes When You're On: 2010." It's time. We need this.
I admit that I don't really have 200 words to meet the diary limit. I'm relying on this note from Brian at the bottom of the requirements section:
Something that requires effort you would like to keep around for posterity's sake should be a diary.
Trust me, I put plenty of work into this. I can't take any more of the emo posts about Beilein and RichRod and the NCAA investigation and "How many games does RR need to win to keep his job" and so on and so forth. We need something more WOO FOOTBALL and less WHY DOES LIFE HATE US?!?
With spring practice ready to start, hopefully this gives everybody a few warm fuzzies and gets you excited again about what we can be. I present to you "Sometimes When You're On: 2010" (and yes, this is the only appropriate song at this point for a Michigan football highlight video):
The resolution option isn't showing up for me yet, but it should be available in HD. Enjoy. Be happy. Go Blue.
To steal a fellow Mgoblogger's signature (sorry, I can't remember whose it is):
"When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing!" - Bo Schembechler.
Yes, that was the idea. Just trying to bring back some of the good feelings we had going into last season, because this offseason has been ... um, less than enjoyable so far.
The last two seasons were pretty similar.
Great work on the video and the song works perfectly for the painful transition this has been- good job dubbing as well.
It gave me chills. Anyone else get teary-eyed?
I got chills, teary eyed, an erection, er...
Seriously though, when I think about it, there are few things in this world as awesome as Michigan football. The overhead shot to end it is just inexplicably amazing. Go Blue.
This rarely happens.
Good times are going to come.
My favorite part is when Tate is running into the end zone at 3:48 against ND and it shows the CMU vs MSU score.
YouTube is blocked at work so it's only on rare occasion that I'll bother to load up the video on my iPhone. Man am I glad I did that this time - absolutely awesome. I've watched it 6 times and get chills every single time - the music couldn't have been more perfect and the timing and everything.
Shorts - sometimes when you're on you're really f#ck!ng on and this was certainly one of those times - totally awesome!
Wake me up in 5.5 months... (well, maybe for a day for the Spring Game then it's back to bed)
Not my favorite song (the lyrics are appropriate enough, but it's just whiny-sounding), but that is a fantastic montage.
What we needed! Great post. We defenitely had a lot of bad and great plays last year. Looking forward to correcting many of those bad mistakes and building on all the good things we did.
“To me, no coach in America asks a man to make any sacrifice. He requests the opposite: to live clean, think clean and come clean. To stop doing all the things that destroy you mentally, physically, and morally, and begin doing those things that make you keener, finer, more competent.” -Fielding H. Yost
Must... have... Michigan football...
We should be faster and stronger than almost every team on our schedule. No reason not to win 8, maybe 9 games.
Great job. Really enjoyed it.
