I agree. It should be The Bob Ufer Press Box at MEEECHIGAN STADIUM!

If Bill Martin can get the east structure named after him, then Old Man Ufer definitely should get the west one.

with shiny new letters up on the wall celebrating the fact a bunch of very rich people with no direct connection whatsoever to the football program wrote some really big checks. I have no problem with that. That's what rich people are for.
What I do have a major problem with is that the guy who literally poured his life into Michigan football, whose home away from home was that funky cramped broadcast booth, who helped spread the gospel of Bo to legions of Michigan fans far and wide, who became synonymous with love of the Wolverines, has to make do with a freaking plaque that was made a number of years ago?
For an athletic department that beats its chest 24/7/365 about honoring the great men of Michigan football, this is nothing less than an insult.

when you consider how quickly / easily they named a concourse for Bill Martin. Bless him for the work he did, but I doubt his staying power will be anywhere close to Ufer's.

They pay big money to get stuff named after themselves.

I know they're somewhere in the west structure, but don't know the precise location. Are they in that row of rooms in the middle of the structure at the top level, or are they in some other spot?

The photo deck is on the top level in the middle, the broadcast booths are right underneath. TV has the 50 yard line booth.

Years after his passing we still bring his name up several times a year here.
I would like to see something bigger done so that future generations will also remember his passion for Meeechigan.
(Damn - was the Seventies an awesome time for Wolverines. Canham, Schembechler and Ufer - together! Didn't know how good we had it...)
