Their high school coaches and AAU coaches have probably a better appreciation of Michigan than maybe they had before," Beilein said. "It's a tough balance right now. Tim Hardaway and Trey Burke weren't really high-profile players, nor was Darius Morris, and all were high-profile players. "We're still looking at 'who is the best fit.' "
Coach Rod and the other Coaches will handle this well, its the players that have a hard time...I listened to Mr. Stokes...his son going to coach Rod and saying what did I do......Son you did nothing wrong....
I would like to say how angry I am with the type of reporting that was done by the Freep, for a reporter to stalk and pounce on a young freshman player who is three months out of high school is what I would call predatory reporting....You have what in the eyes of these young freshman players was to be a great day to meet the media.....in these kids eyes this was nothing more than and overwhelming and exciting day that they should have remembered forever. They all got a life lesson that day...and unfortunately thanks to the Freep these kids will never trust a reporter, especially from the Freep.
As a parent you can not be with your children 24/7 but as a parent of a Michigan Player, I will never feel comfortable with a reporter from the Freep anywhere near these players.
I've sent emails to Coach Rod and his staff, emails to the Freep (no reponse at all), but as I now look back, our support needs to go to these kids....I called the Football Office and told them let the Players know we support them....I will be there Saturday with my family to support this team...every player I see I will tell them we are here for the team....This reporter tried to put players against coaches...the coaches know the game...these young kids just learned it....I'm still Pissed Off..but time to look a head.....Go Blue---
