Potential MGoBlog HoF Inagural Candidates
I figured this would be the easiest way to compile a list of potential inagural class candidates. The 190 comment thread would be a difficult place to keep track, so here we can be a little more organized. Make suggestions and I'll add them to the lists. Since this is just a way to keep track of potential candidates, feel free to throw out some "maybes." Mods, feel free to edit the OP accordingly.
This may also help keep that initial thread focused on the manner in which people are elected, etc. Without further adieu...

I have a real problem including Brent Petway, Lester Arbam, and Graham Brown ahead of Bernard Robinson Jr.
I would list Junior Hemingway as a maybe.
Eric Tannenbaum, 3 time All American who got a 3.84 in Neuroscience and got into Rush Med School in Chicago. Just read this article on him, guy definitely deserves consideration:

As great as their one year together was, I don't really like the idea of mercenary athletes who come for one (or two) year(s) then leave for (arguably) greener pastures as HoF candidates. I think some of the criteria has to be commitment to Michigan and while they certainly brought fleeting success, guys like the Saads don't seem particularly interested in the long-term success of the program.
I know I am breaking half the rules as proposed, but it would seem a shame if the inagural class did not include at least a couple older players that were worthy on multiple fronts.. bleeding on things, being awesome, playing on championchip teams.... and have made lots and lots of appearances on the blog during the 2055 - present time period.
This guy, broke jaw, came back in second half. Broke snapping hand, learned to snap ball with other hand in 1 week.. missed no games. Took on numerous program hating alumns in the last 4 years. Shows up and displays the love for UM we all have. Has morphed into sasquach. Has appeared as many times on this blog as anyone not named Zack or Denard.
My first choice would be
What has to happen for "Brunette Girls" Gibbons to get on here? I mean, he did put it through the uprights, in spectacular fashion in the last two games. 6 more clutch kicks before he graduates, plus 2 examples of awesome facial hair? That's my line.
wont agree but I want Graham Brown he is my favorite all time basketball player post the Fab Five era. He was just everything right about getting Michigan basketball back to the glory land.
I was looking over some of the other names on this list and thought about Marlin Jackson. I always liked him a lot and thought his name could be tossed on the list, although I don't think his accomplishments would get him into the inagural HOF.
David Cone...lyrical gangsta?
I think one of the prerequisites should be a Michigan degree... Michigan Men do not leave early for the pros.
How about Al Montoya for 2005?
Is it bad that my first inclination was to look at guys who graduated rather than left early for the NBA/NFL?
The winners need to get actual, physica awards of some kind. I'll pitch-in $1.
