Ok, so after a week off from wallpapers (good thing MonuMental dazzled with his wallpaper!), I got back at it.  This week, I chose a theme that placed Michigan's stars as "cornhusker servers."  Essentially, I love corn on the cob, it fits with the cornhusker theme, and it was fun to make Denard and Jake into little yellow plasticky corn on the cob holders/servers.  I think it turned out pretty well, considering the fact that this was done in the least amount of time of all of my wallpapers thus far.  As usual, I welcome your suggestions and/or comments.  So far, just the 16:9 version is done, but I'll work on getting a mobile version done ASAP.

Ok, so after a week that saw me put up a wallpaper in the eleventh hour before the game, I decided to make sure I got this out earlier.  Poor Illinois, they're so bad this year it's like men versus boys this coming Saturday - hence, this wallpaper idea.  I know it's not totally original, but the Illini are just that uninspiring an opponent.  I also didn't necessarily want to wander down the path of the non-politically correct Native American references.  Anyway, as usual, I appreciate your comments and insights.  Also, should you have any ideas for other designs for this week or the coming weeks, let me know.  I am somewhat happy with the little Michigan field logo I created to house the team logos.  Enjoy!

OK, so I'm REALLY behind because of some other not-so-fun projects and a full work week, but here's a wallpaper I put together today in some spare time.  I'll try to get it re-sized and all soon, however, I was short on time.  Per some of my critiques on the last few, I tried something new.  This wallpaper is almost exclusively typography driven.  It was fun to try to re-create an old-style typography.  I hope you like it.  As always, constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome!

ASIDE: I know the game is not at home.

EDIT: I made the type larger for old men like me...and added "OF" for those who wondered why it said "Ann Arbor" when the game was in West Lafayette.

Go Blue, beat Purdue!

Ok, so I will hopefully be putting 2-3 different wallpapers up.  A lot of this will depend on how fast I can get my new TV mounted (also my computer monitor).  This first one is very simple, but I still like the look of it.  I will be working on another one tonight that will be a little more complicated.  In the meantime, enjoy the first one of the week!  Hope you like it.  Go Blue, beat the Irish!

Wallpaper 1 - "Touchdown Jesus"

Ok, so it's another week and another opponent.  That means more wallpaper.  I will be on vacation during UMass week, so I did the wallpaper early.  Honestly, I couldn't get into the Air Force wallpaper as whole-heartedly as I'd have liked, so I apologize for the drop-off in quality on that one.  It's still not THAT BAD, but not on the level I've been producing. Sorry.

The UMass wallpaper, on the other hand, I really like it.  There may be people out there who have never seen an ad for the new Assassin's Creed or know that it takes place in the Revolutionary War (loose tie to Minutemen).  So there you have it, that's your background on my theft/conversion of AC's main character into Denard.  Anyway, I'm starting to ramble.  I hope you enjoy the wallpapers and get some use from them in the weeks to come.
