HAPPY NEW DC

Submitted by THE KNOWLEDGE on
. yes . THE KNOWLEDGE has become so popular in this weblog that even a damned impostor has had a most popular post . yes . THE KNOWLEDGE is clearly the most popular poster in this log after Mr. Cook . yes . however, onto that impostor - you had best stop this nonsense. no one in amused. you have besmirched the name of THE KNOWLEDGE, and inappropriately used my popularity to spew some nonsense. . THE KNOWLEDGE requests Mr. Cook to ban the fake "THE KNOWLEDGE." (with the dot) from this blog . yes . well, on to the topic on this New Year's Day. THE KNOWLEDGE shall reveal the identity of the new DC as a new year's day present to the Michigan faithful . yes . previously, THE KNOWLEDGE reported the DC search situation and how the first two choices - Dick Lebeau and Tommy Tuberville - didn't work out. At that time, the identity of the third candidate was kept secret by THE KNOWLEDGE . However, at this point, it has become quite likely that the candidate will become the next DC of M. so, THE KNOWLEDGE can now reveal who this is . yes . The next DC will be... . Rex Ryan - the current DC of the Ravens . yes . M fans can rejoice knowing that we will now have one of the top DCs in the nation . yes . If you don';t believe me, wait and watch Ryan take over as the DC later this month . THE KNOWLEDGE will then soar . and leave everyone in a trail of dust . Just like THE KNOWLEDGE did exactly a year ago . when THE KNOWLEDGE soared over a sea of surrounding gators during the Cap One bowl game . yes .

Gosh, I really want to believe you. In fact, my heart is telling me to believe what you say. But my head tells me THE KNOWLEDGE wrote this after a ten day glue sniffing binge.

. yes . I would love for this to be the case. This would be an extreme boost in confidence in RR and his running the program and it would help in recruiting. . yes . However, I am just sitting scratching my head and trying to remember if I saw someone floating above the gator fans at the game last year. Good post Knowledge. Even if this doesn't pan out. I am enjoying the thought of what you say being true.

The AA News had an article today about RR and the DC, and this is a direct quote from Rodriguez: "I've just started the preliminary stuff... I haven't brought anybody in for any interviews or anything like that. I don't know if I will in the next week. After the bowl games are over, I'll get more into that."

It's great if it's true. However, I'm not sure making correct predictions about coaching changes makes one as awesome as THE KNOWLEDGE's posts would seem to suggest.

Why would Rex Ryan go from being an NFL defensive coordinator and NFL head coaching candidate...to being a college defensive coordinator? This doesn't make sense. If it happens, I'll slap myself in the balls.

If you are correct great job and you can keep posting for years to come. Howeva, if you are wrong I suggest you quit posting and leave. You are creating too much of a stir. I noticed you didn't use your "bask in glory" comment. did THE KNOWLEDGEperiod ruin it for you? What happened to that man? lol. I kinda doubt it.

I mean, you guys do know THE KNOWLEDGE was one of many joke posters during the coaching search and his shtick was that we were going to hire Sarkisian, right? He's a joke poster, he's an admitted non insider. In fact he didn't even call Shafer leaving as he said it would happen in mid January and that we were going to hire Tommy Tuberville or Dick Lebeau.

To be clear, I don't think the guy's an insider. But he posted that Shafer was leaving at a time when all the buzz about him possibly being gone seemed to have subsided - and then like two days later, it happened. I don't know how he pulled it off but I'll give him his due for that. (And in fairness, he said Shafer's replacement would be Tubberville, LeBeau or a mystery third guy, which techically is accurate.)

If he fails here and is wrong one more time. BAN HIM!!! As for now, he is humorous. Lord knows we can use that during this "quiet" time. He better not pull a Herbstreit. If so, BAN HIM!!!

Personally, I don't find "ThE KNOWLEDGE" that funny, because there's only so much humor that can come out of posting random, made up shit in an overwraught style ad nauseum. But arguing that he should be banned is sort of like arguing against the existance of sarcasm, because some people are too dim to understand it.

being wrong on a perdiction would be like assuming if it floats, it must be a witch and should be burned. Also if he was banned for being wrong then this blog would be done, because we have ALL been wrong more than once.

If by "this blog will be done" you mean that pseudo-insiders, UMich directory stalkers, people who can't discern the The Knowledge is a (admittedly played out now) joke, and 14 year olds will leave, then I really hope he does get banned and the blog "is done".

I could be wrong, but I don't think there are that many 14 year olds on this site. Just a general atmosphere of attempted (though usually not very funny) humor.
