Wait is it really football season or did we go back to the middle of Summer?! HOT is the name of the game Saturday, whether you're going to be home or in Indiana. Temps are soaring about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year, and on top of that we'll have light winds and lots of sun. Thank a front to the north and high pressure to the east for taking us from bonfire to beach weather! At least road conditions will be good, right? & that new tank top you never got the chance to wear? Tah-dah, here's your chance!

If you're traveling...

Tailgating

Just a cloud or two to start the early morning tailgate! If you're up and at 'em early, you'll enjoy the coolest temperatures of the day - we'll start off in the mid 60s with a barely there breeze. You'll want the tent simply for shade as we head into the afternoon, and make sure that cooler is stocked full of ice because the temps will shoot up quickly with all of our sunshine! By mid-morning we'll reach into the mid 70s - hopefully you got that coffee iced! You may want to draw straws for who gets stuck standing near the hot crockpot for lunch - by then we'll be hitting the low 80s! Winds will be out of the ESE and still very light - maybe just enough to feel it on your skin - at around 5mph. 

Kickoff

91 degrees to start the game. No, not a typo - 91(!). Apparently Mother Nature forgot it's the end of September? It'll be humid with full sunshine too, so expect it to feel like the lower to middle 90s for the first half. Winds will remain out of the ESE at around 5-7mph - just enough to rustle a couple of leaves at times.   

Halftime

Although spending an arm and a leg on water isn't super fun, try to stay hydrated - heat like this can get dangerous. We'll still be hovering around 90 for the halftime show with a light ESE wind at 5mph. Sunny conditions stay with us through the rest of the game.  

Post-Game

We fall to 85 as you leave the game! Woohoo! Ok, ok, it's not much, but we'll take what we can get! Blue skies will continue to be overhead with a light breeze out of the ESE. If you're headed out to a celebratory dinner for that win, by 10pm we'll drop into the mid 70s. If you're hoping to make it to that 70 degree mark, be prepared to stay out until they flash the lights for last call! Expect clear skies tonight and sunny, dry weather to drive home in Sunday. Go blue!

If you're staying home...

No escaping the heat here either, so hopefully you're liking our extension of the summer-like stuff! You may see a bit of patchy fog if you're out early grabbing that last deli tray, when temps will still be in the mid 60s. By midday we'll be into those mid 80s, and it'll be another afternoon spent in the low 90s here. It'll also feel like the mid 90s with some humidity. Don't expect much relief from the wind either - it'll be light and generally southerly. By 10pm we start to get back down into the lower 70s. Just a few clouds during the day will lead to mainly clear skies overnight, and good travel weather for Sunday.
