Farewell

it is a well established fact that THE KNOWLEDGE is the greatest poster on this blog

.

THE KNOWLEDGE is an extraordinary personality and has been referred to by adjoining adjectives that are sometimes transposable such as: greatly awesome and awesomely great; and sometimes transposable only with negation such as: unbelievably true and truly believable

.

THE KNOWLEDGE acknowledges these praises and statements of fact, but always remains modest on these very pages. in fact, THE KNOWLEDGE is so modest that anyone else will be proud of such modesty

.

and this is all the more reason THE KNOWLEDGE is loved and admired on this blog

.

yes

.

therefore, it is with great sadness that THE KNOWLEDGE announces the end of his appearance on these very pages for the rest of the football season

.

in a most astonishing turn of events, THE KNOWLEDGE was shown be incorrect in revealing the result on the Nebraska game

.

this is abnormal and infinitely more terrifying that the spatio-temporal irregularity that occurred earlier this year

.

thus, THE KNOWLEDGE bids farewell to his readers so that he may retreat to contemplate on what this turn of events means to the Universe

.

this also means that THE KNOWLEDGE CHALLENGE has ended for the season

.

yes

.

the outlook for the football season may be bleak, but it shouldn't be

.

THE KNOWLEDGE usually appears on these very pages only during the football season; but he may make an exception this time to make some brief appearances during Michigan's National Championship run in basketball

.

The Knowledge did a good job of sticking to the party line for a very long time.

He/She/It kind of got soft on everyone this year, second guessing, calling things into question.  I hope you recover from your identiy crisis enough that this can be remedied next year.

I don't get it.  Basically, only one thing happened that The Knowledge didn't forsee -- the ulnar nerve on 16's elbow going all freakoutish.  Other than that, TK was dead on, we were heading for a probable victory.  (As I keep telling myself.)

So why, after this ONE minor unforseen event, which unfortunately snowballed with chaos-like ramifications, does TK give up the gig for the whole year?

Frankly, I'm really disappointed in TK.  Dude, you were so much better than this.  Seems that, as large as your ego was, now you're that pathetic.

Totally reminds me of the Emporer in Episode VI.  He was so sure of victory.  Why didn't he forsee the defeat?  That question has bothered me for like 30 years or whatever.  Best I can guess is, he simply didn't forsee one thing -- that a droid looked like the mythical Ewokian god.  That led to a union of forces he didn't forsee, AT's tripping on stones, yada yada (or yoda yoda), end of empire.  Same thing there.  It was just one lousy ulnar nerve!

I tend to think that TK is a member of some sort of clan of magi, seers that have existed secretly for ages.  The elders clearly have lofty standards for the disciples and failure results in termination (or even death???).  It appears to me as though there is some tolerance for levels of malprediction (new word) and TK has simply been blacklisted and relegated to the mountains of Tibet for some introspection and additional training.  He of course could not tell us all that for fear of revealing the existence of this all-knowing clan.

Actually, he's been wrong about a bunch of stuff over the years, starting with Steve Sarkisian becoming our coach or OC or something back during the coaching search. It was guaranteed. Personally I never thought the schtick was remotely smart or witty, and was surprised that such an intelligent community ate it up.

It's gotta be a pain to come from celebrating Michigan's 2012 12-2 Big Ten championship season and Rose Bowl victory, just to find an alternate universe where Denard's elbow explodes and Michigan loses 3 games. May I hope that the future from whence you came is unaltered, while I hope that Michigan's season isn't doomed.*

*The last time THE_KNOWLEDGE made his farewell was in 2010.
