First, this presentation is helpful. You appear to be doing a good job trying to quantify the frustrating feeleings ball stuff in a useful way. I hate hot takes as much as most.

It seems to me that pre-season expectations would skew results and I don't think you are controlling for this. For example, my expectatinons were 8-4 with losses to PSU, Wisconsin and osu and a WTF loss to IU, Maryland or the Gophers in that order of probability.

So, when I answer your questions, they're going to be answered with my ecpectations in mind or at some amount > 50 (50%) on your scale of 0 to 100 and probably closer to 100 than to 50. IOW, my expectations are in line with outcomes.

Hard to do but if I elimenated that 8-4 expectation and started without any backward knowledge or expectations based on that, I believe I'd be more disappointed than I actually am. Thus, without controlling for this factor (pre-season and ongoing expectations), the survey results seem to have less utility. PS. I'm not a stats guy.
