ESPN can suck it

Okay, once and for all...anyone see tonight's ESPN tag after we lost to DUKE? And I quote, "Duke DRUBS UM to win 2K Classic". First of all, we lost. Were we DRUBBED? We were down at halftime 39-31. We are a "surprise" by their own naming, and then we were DRUBBED? I've had it. Once and for all, I will NO longer watch ESPN, bookmark their fucking .Com, or support that effing channel. Every single motherfucker over there LOVES to pile on when we Michigan loses. I put up with it during "the horror", because, ultimately NO publicity is bad publicity, and even if we were over-rated going into last season, we shouldn't have lost to App. State. Yeah, I get it. I get it again. Seeing the blocked kick 2,467 times all last season, YEAH I GET IT ASSHOLES. Mark May and Lou Holtz? Chris Spielman and Kirk Herbstreit? One thing after another, these fuckers HATE U of M, and do everything in their power except come right out and SAY it. I'm done. Let Griese, Tirico, or Desmond cover Michigan from now on, but otherwise leave us alone, and let us turn the volume down on the idiots at the Big Ten network. Fuck you ESPN. You go to hell. You go to hell and YOU DIE. (in addition, what is "UM"?? U-Maryland? U-Missouri? U-Motherfuckers? We are the U "OF" M. We are MICHIGAN. We are not some bastardized UM initials. Fuck you ESPN. E_nd. S_cene. P_huck.(that)N_etwork.

From what I understand, it didn't happen in the sports world unless ESPN says it happened. Nor do any sports exist that ESPN does not cover. Therefore, if ESPN says UM (instead of U of M) equals Michigan then by God UM must equal Michigan... Since when did the media (of all sorts) get into the business of MAKING news instead of REPORTING news?

By all accounts, an over-rated Michigan team lost to a Div II national champion last year, and started the season 0-1. Big FUCKING DEAL. It was one game. It wasn't an 11-0 team that lost to a shitty Pittsburgh team to ruin their season...oh wait....who was that? Was that dubbed the WORST LOSS EVER? No. Ours was. Our first game. WHAT THE FUCK ESPN? assholes.

sensationalism. that's what espn's business is. they blow things out of proportion, beat the crap out of new-found whipping boys, and use cheap puns as headlines in order to boost readership. because, at the end of the day, they do whatever they can to boost readership. that's what brings in the cash. they're like the Fox News of sports, except there's not a real competitor for them, and intelligent sports fans still go to espn for news. their entire tilt is based on drawing out emotion from nothing at all.

Just mute them. Never listen to an ESPN broadcast. Never read their website. The fact they own the right to broadcast a beautiful game says nothing about the necessity or wisdom of listening to their baboon howls and Phineas Gage fits. Make your own soundtrack.

I hate espn's anti-Michigan bias as much as any Michigan fan, but, and I hate to say it, tonight was a drubbing. Michigan b-ball is off to a great start, but we got beat handily tonight.

being a college sports fan, espn naturally will hate your school. but they also gave us a lot of love with our win over ucla the other night, i.e. on the front page of espn.com and shown multiple times on sportscenter yesterday). but let's be honest, mich sports hasnt' done a whole lot (besides bball win vs ucla, cap bowl win vs florida) in the last 2 years to merit much love from anyone.

sweet jesus, we have some awfully sensitive fans. guess what - michigan is one of the most recognizable programs in the world. when we are bad, it's a big deal. ND got a lot of bad press last year, too, and many of us reveled in that. now that the shoe's on the other foot it's our turn to suck it up. we can make it stop simply by winning.

I love College Gameday and wouldn't ever miss it, same with the College Football Final Show. I think Rece Davis is good, and that Chris Fowler is probably the best College football guy there is. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Yeah they hate us. I take it as a compliment. It is good to be worthy of someone's hatred. For clearly, they feel they have something to gain by tearing us down -- what does this imply? That we are BETTER than they and the programs they represent. Fuck 'em! We're Michigan! THE LEADERS AND BEST! FEEL THE POWER!!!
