chance to review all of this yet, but it reminded me of a stat/record I have been thinking about lately. Many of the perennial football powers are missing from the current Top 20 (I say 20 because I think polls in the old days only listed the top 20). I haven't seen the new poll for this week, but the last AP poll was void of Michigan, Penn St., Florida State, Miami, Missouri, Colorado, Texas, Pittsburgh, BYU, USC, UCLA, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. These 15 teams currently have a won-loss record of 79-64. If none of these 15 crack the year end poll, it will be the first time in how many years? 20? 50? Ever?
fair point that
