so much for that
Coaching changes
.
as THE KNOWLEDGE had correctly revealed on these very pages last week, Michigan easily defeated NCSU and great fun was had by all at Crisler
.
THE KNOWLEDGE has soared again
.
yes
.
while THE KNOWLEDGE is the greatest expert on foretelling the outcome of games, THE KNOWLEDGE made his reputation on these very pages while revealing coaching hiring and firing in college football
.
and there are a number of coaching change events happened/about to happen this season
.
THE KNOWLEDGE shall now discuss some of these occurrences
.
yes
.
the coaching change most people on this blog would like is not going to happen
.
Borges will continue to be Michigan's OC next year
.
even though Chip Kelly is out at Oregon at the end of the season, the general expectation that he will become Michigan's OC are unfounded
.
yes
.
elsewhere in the B1G, PSU's coach wants out but it will happen later
.
and Hope will be replaced by another fool
.
yes
.
in the SEC, Saban is out as Alabama's coach. similar to another great weasel of our times, Pete Carroll, he will try his luck again in the NFL, this time in Dallas
.
and fail again
.
and come back to coach at MSU
.
and fail again
.
yes
.
as already revealed by others, Jon Gruden is headed to Knoxville, and that program will continue to suck
.
and nobody will care
.
yes
.
OSU has already begun the process of getting Tressel back to the school (last Saturday's absurdities in Columbus were part of this)
.
Tressel will initially sign on as the recruiting coordinator responsible for distributing sign-up bonuses to recruits (Meyer will continue to take care of the base salaries)
.
and will work his way up to Asst. Head Coach responsible for stalling all NCAA investigations
.
and finally become co-Head Coach
.
yes
.
all those that don't believe THE KNOWLEDGE now will be left in a trail of dust
.
as THE KNOWLEDGE soars again and basks in glory
.
yes
.
I've always dreamed of beating you to the first and posting "commence" myself but, alas, you probably wrote this Diary months ago and forsaw it being posted this afternoon. Damn that foresight of yours!
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
THE_KNOWLEDGE turned out to be wrong
Four losses, a punch in the dong
He came back to soar
He's foretelling once more
With THIS one, the Force is strong.

Sorry THE_KNOWLEDGE, but that shit cray. Like, half of those predictions are ridiculous
He has a time machine of some sort, so I'm inclined to believe him.
They aren't predictions so much as dictions, since those things have already occured in THE_KNOWLEDGE's spacetime.
Weak.
So, which MAC coach will Purdue get to replace Hope?
Is this post laced with abundant sarcasm? If not, who generally expected Chip Kelly to come on at Michigan as an OC? Also, I would expect a more prestigious school to offer Saban a head coaching opportunity regardless of potential failure in his NFL second attempt.
the chip kelly piece is a joke people!
that said, he is likely to look at the pros sometime, which would be highly interesting.
I am not really Coach Schiano. -Coach Schiano on Mgoblog
even though Chip Kelly is out at Oregon at the end of the season, the general expectation that he will become Michigan's OC are unfounded
Cook will be devastated.
Loved the bit detailing the rise, fall and rise (again) of St. Tress. I did not watch The Game this past weekend, but I read about the shameless display that took place wherein the fans who are still bitching about how the NCAA "cheated" them out of a chance at the MNC gave a standing ovation to the guy who literally cheated them out of a chance at the MNC.
Bonus discussion question: Do you think OSU might have had an easier time going undefeated this season as they had "nothing to play for" and, thus, little pressure? If they had actually been in consideration for the MNC game, would they possibly have "tightened up" in one (or more) of their multiple close games this season and lost? Personally, I think they would have lost one or two games of their close games had they not been on post-season probation.
We ARE Michigan....COME GET SOME!!!
lame.

Your tagline always makes me sad.

Thanks to Profit, I just noticed your sign off. My condolences. Went through that last year. It sucks.

I thought you left us?
"What" ain't no country I ever heard of. They speak English in What?
I have to disagree with one prediction here: people in Tennessee will definitely care how the team does. Tennessee people live and die with the Vols. They still bitch about "Peyton Manning's Heisman." People in Tennessee will always care about the Vols; they really don't have much else to cheer for.
I like the rest of this, though.
I predict Gerry Di Nardo to the University of Southern Mississippi. And hopefully his vacated spot on the BTN will be filled by THE KNOWLEDGE.

I expected these 2 vermin to appear as a tandem coaching team at som SEC school ....

I'm only posting because I get a point. Tressel to Dallas.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
can't compete in a league where ALL of the players get paid.
Your opinion has no value.
1) Good at coaching where his players get paid, and other schools do not (except maybe Illinois?)
Dallas seems a well funded organization that can afford more "perks" than other teams
2) Good at coaching a group of self centered prima donnas in a way that delivers results
Dallas has had a few of those over the years, with mixed success
It would appear to me that Tressel may very well be a successful coach in the right NFL circumstances (like glitzy Dallas, over a cash strapped back water Ohio team)
Oh, and I totally believe Meyer is in it for a three or four year run, and then re-retires about the time Tress is cleared to come back.
