NEEDS MORE DENARD

All apologies for dropping this a day late.  Just some stuff on the professional side of things that demanded immediate and front-burner attention.

I'm not going to presume to know what's gone wrong with UM's hockey season this year; I've attended no games and watched only a few periods of action.  The bottom line is, I just wanted to draw Denard all suited up for action.  I mean, can you blame me?

Friday Fun will involve me drawing something about Michigan athletics.  I'll do it on Friday, and it might even be Fun.

IHOA got for its officials made us do an entire ninety minutes of skating drills with our skates untied once. It might not have been terrible otherwise, but we had to do this at the east rink at All Seasons in Aurora. I don't know how much you ever played there, but that was some terrible ice.

Didn't have to go to Aurora often, and can't say I remember the rink but there was bad ice all around back in the day. I remember when the Darien rink didn't have glass but had chain link fence, and I rememember being able to see the concrete distinctly through the ice at the Lake Forest Academy rink before that got re done. I'm only 25 and don't have a lawn.

That was one of the worst rinks anywhere, along with some pretty terrible locker rooms. I never played at the old LFA rink, but I do remember Darien when it was that bad. I can't remember for the life of me which rink it was, but there was one where the cinderblocks didn't go all the way up in the locker rooms, and my high school team damn near got into a brawl with Downers Grove South as a result.

And yeah, I'm younger than you and don't have a lawn. Some of those rinks reall were that terrible.

I love that our reaction to a comic strip about a baby imagining Deanrd on the hockey team is to have a serious conversation about whether or not he could sake with untied laces.
